Because a letter was printed in the North Edinburgh News in November of last year a reader has been threatened with legal action by Councillor Maginnis. The writer only stated the truth about the councillors husband’s and the manager of Pilton Partnership Ian Cook’s business “Grerson Associates”business being based within the waterfront development. Is the councillor using her position to bully people for their opinions? It only makes her out to have something to hide I thought at the least she was more intelligent than to threaten people. I believe she is running scared with an election looming.

Of more interest and worth investigating further is her relationship with CE of WEL, S. Izatt.

Without her he would have been gone years ago. His CV is back on web site and make for amazing claims of his past career.Nuff said

Mrs McGinnis could very well be made to pay at the ballot box.

As a life long labour voter enough is enough A proper investigation needs to take place.

Councillor McGinnis and Waterfront promised us in the local community open and transparent information. But we are not being told a thing.
Their website has not been updated for months. Councillor McGinnis refuses to answer any questions or provide any information. It so wrong that a publicly funded body can be run this way.

There is something very rotten with the Waterfront development. What is going on? Councillor McGinnis

Pretty much a whole lot of what you said is totally correct. I would say 90% being conservative.

How come Elizabeth Maginnis who is manager of the Pilton Elderly Project can have her workplace upgraded,with money through the Pilton Partnership of whick she is chair? other board members have also had their premises upgraded eg: Caroline P ickering (Granton Information Centre) Betty Mcvay (Pilton neighbourhood Centre Kitchen refurbished) Fred Marinello (new Lighting outside his home). Elizabeth Maginnis’s husbands consuttancy business is in the waterfront development. This is more than an invested interest for the local councillor. She also has certain so called activists under her wing who do not live in the area,yet she nominates them for “woman of the year awards”
Councillor Maginnis also stated that when the waterfront development (of which she is chairperson) started there would be a local labour force in place training local people for jobs this has not happened. Where is the cosultation with the local residents? Only hand-picked activists are consulted or as she would suggest “her allies”. People in Pilton should make councillors like Mrs Maginnis pay at the ballot box
