A Winters Tale
Friends and readers, the cold artic blasts have hit us and we retreat to our firesides and wait for the thaw. But for those who cannot afford to heat their homes they must choose to heat or eat. Greater Pilton will have many poor souls who will shiver and worry about how to pay the heating bill. Of course our government tells us not to worry help is at hand, where about? the energy suppliers are running wild and are pushing up the cost of fuel seemingly at their own discretion. The peoples party has once again failed us and turn a blind eye to ever increasing costs.
Our local masters have once again increased the community charge but they tell us we have got a great deal because it is such a small increase-tell that to the poor communitys of Edinburgh.They to have turned a blind eye to the issue of poverty oblivious to the harse reality of every day life in our neglected communitys.
For those of our local rulers who have other employment as well as their council allowances these so called small increases in our local taxes means almost nothing so they can bleat on about value for money and quality services the rest of us just pay up and shut up.The peoples party both at local and national level are completly out of touch and have been for quite some time.
There is no doubt the communitys of Edinburgh need change sips have failed us and there seems little likely hood community planing will be any different. Pilton Sucks.com firmly believes the time has come to challange our complacent rulers at the ballot box and remove short sightedness with a community vision, one which will put impoverished communitys like ours at the head of a community agenda not pander to self interests and former councillors with consultancies or present councillors whose outside interests conflict with their civic duties.
The private club mentality of the ruling labour group is so blatent they do not even try to hide it such is their contempt for the punters they are supposed to represent.So friends and readers it is up to you -do you 1-go for more of the same sham that you are getting -or- 2 make the change yourself and remove these indivduals who are holding communitys back.
