Street of Fear
Friends and readers we now have yellow lines on West Granton Road, well done to all involved in the campaign, but who enforces it. We walked round there on Monday last and did not see much difference the cars were still parked were they should not be and were turning their noses up at the yellow lines. Indeed we approached a motorist who was about to park on the cycle lane, she told us she has always parked there and no one has said anything to her, so she proceeded to park and walk away.
We called the Police but they said it was nothing to do with them but they would inform the traffic division, we are still waiting. So as good intentions go the yellow lines are fine and proper, so instead of handing out gongs to those whos job it is to protect the residents get them to police it, then it just might br effective   Â
