Well-Well-Well

Friends and readers. It would seem according to comments from an activist in the Muirhouse/Salveson comm/council ward that she and others have been what can only be called excluded fron proceedings.A letter publised in the NEN explains things in details.

So my friends the murky political history of Greater Pilton continues unabated. We predicted that there would be gerry mandering at Royston/Wardieburn comm/council and it would seem there has been although no-one was available for comment, that is suspicious in itself.

We contacted Royston Wardieburn comm/centre to ask how the meeting went but we could not get to speak to anyone that knew what went on at the meeting on Wedensday evening 5-04-06. Although we did get a response from a member of the public who is a member at the centre. She told us and we have to say that we cannot confirm this, that there is a strong rumour that one of the most experienced activists in the community, was ignored for an office bearers role, if this is true then we cry foul and the members of that comm/ council should be ashamed of themselves. No doubt we shall find out in due couse.

So in both the Royston and muirhouse comm/councils questions are already being asked and they have just started on their way. It really is not on for both these local councillors to have their sticky fingers in the pie and get their friends and family to over see things. It would seem that only councillor Fitzpatrick comes out of this with any credibility,so at least he can hold up his hands and with honesty say he did not try and fix the elections, we will report our suspicions to the City Council[will not do any good but we will try anyway]

Well we hate to say it but we told you so, we had faith and hope that these comm/councils would be fair and open,up to this point we were wrong, it smells.

It would be very interesting if those experienced activists who were one way or another ignored got together to form their own Greater Pilton comm/council they would be very formidable indeed if the names we have are true, and what a council they would make.

So finally in this travesty of murky dealings, we have once again contacted the local bookie to tell him of our information. And with that information he has now revised the odds-they are as follows

Royston-Wardieburn comm/council remain favourites in the gerry mandering stakes but there odds have hardened from

       11/10 on to 1/5 on

Muirhouse/salveson comm/council have jumped up in the betting and have hardened from

       2/1 against to 1/2 on

and you can have 3/1 any other council were you suspect gerry mandering has gone on.
