Friends and readers according to our source in Shrubhill House, a silent witch hunt is ongoing to try and source the leak. Such is the mentality of the Social Work Department [or whatever they like to call themselves these days] that they are not focusing on the real issue, bullying in the workplace.

They know it is going on and refuse to do anything about it, other than blame either the victim/s or the leaks. We challenge Social Work to a debate on this issue, dont they know that there is a growing swell of discontent since our anti bullying in the workplace campaign started. We have had numerous votes of support from staff, and have been told to carry on and expose the bullies.

We have spoken to some ruling labour group members who are particularly interested in what we have to say, and what we believe to be a cover up of fear. once opened up it will show just how some staff have been treated, and how the bullies have been protected, not because they are popular, quite the opposite, more the thought that their own backs might be left open for scrutiny, and that just would not do.

So while the bully/s are falsely protected as in the case we have highlighted in Muirhouse, then nothing will happen.

We demand an independant investigation into allegations of bullying, not an old pals act but a full and frank look at the situation. We are not gamblers by nature, but Pilton sucks along with our sister site Edinburgh Sucks will wager that if open investigation/s take place that more will be uncovered.

Be sure that if the bully/s have struck once they have certainly struck before, it just takes a little digging and you will find it. But do you have the courage or do you have to be dragged kicking and screaming to the table before action is taken.

We hope not.

What has happened to the Labour party. Where has its principles gone. They have sold out the ordinary punter to the lions of big business, and at the same time have sold their souls to the devil. The reality is they are giving power away to the Torries and their nasty friends, and will only have them selves to blame.

Yes they are losing the plot both locally and national. Why what is the problem, certainly locally in Greater Pilton we have seen the same faces for years could it be that the voters are sick of them and their scheming ways and may just wecome a change in what ever form it comes.

This City this country needs a strong left of centre party who will portray the peoples will, not make them suffer and then ask them to pay for it. The Labour party is gone replaced by old hacks who are a dying breed and trendy wannabees who see the labour party as a good vehicle for their nonsense ideas and that is because the torries have seen sense and do not want them, as for the lib dems they will take anyone from anywhere as long as they do not cry wolf when they find out what they have joined up for. That leaves the Nats the good old Scottish Nationalists, where independance is the answer to all your problems and your new tomorrow, if you believe that you will believe the Labour party still has some principles.

So what to do how and who do you vote for with all this confusion reigning around us, it is not easy as you cannot trust any of them. Do you go with the tried and failed people or do you take a chance. Lets ask ourselves this how do feel about your local community has it reached its potential or has it just been paid lip service. The decision is yours.

It seems from reports received that on average 11,500 roads are dug up in Edinburgh each year. that is strange as Edinburgh apart from the city centre is full of pot holes and does not seem to get any better. Time and time again roads are closed off or partially blocked and for weeks on end.

Men in yellow jackets just smile at the chaos and added congestion that they cause. What if any is the council policy on road repairs or improvments if the same road is dug up for one reason or another. As it is there is already a war on the motorist, and very rarely is it the non licensed non insured car driver who is punished. We have speed bumps speed cameras hand held speed traps police vehicles with cameras in them how much does all this war against the motorist cost.

And now we have the road digger who comes along to wage a war of frustration against the motorist. Yes indeed we have a transport policy, cause maximum problems increased frustration excess charging and bingo we might force these dreadful motorists off the road.

Yes you might indeed do that and that would leave the roads free for the privileged to drive their kids to private school, and drive these dreadful four wheel drive monstors and get in everybodys way.

Yes we have a policy get those terrible working class people off the road and let their betters have the roads to themselves. Thats all very well but since it is those working class people who as usual pay most of the taxes for everything anyway, should it not be the other way round.

Should there not be a premium payed for the school run, should the price of petrol not be means tested so the better off pay a fairer share. why is it always the low income earners who pay and suffer the most, and that is with a Labour Government.

So the next time you are held up by the council policy on road repairs or are told by a little red sign that the street you want to go down is closed off and you were not even consulted, spare a thought for those who are much better off than you are. If it was not for the non road policy or sheer stupidity of Edinburgh City Council, what would they talk about at their dinner parties.

It would seem according to reports we have received, that the 10am stand up and beat the bully was a big success. Thats great news but it is only the start. Workplace bullying is now on the agenda, and we must continue to up the profile.

Only last week we received a letter from a teacher who told us of the terrible way in which he was treated by the head teacher, indeed he eventually took out a private prosecution and won. The law is beginning to recognise that workplace bulling is a crime-of course it is.

One of our associates was recently at a Howard League meeting[penal reform group] and raised the question of workplace bullying with a sherrif at the end of the meeting. His reply was that workplace bullying  in his opinion was a hidden crime. Hidden because those being bullied were to afraid to come forward because of lack of support. This in itself was criminal behaviour, He also went on to say he had been reading our site from time to time, and we were to be congratulated for raising the problem of workplce bullying.

Our message is clear and is now reaching more ears workplace bullying is not on and must be stamped on right away.

On an further interesting point. We wonder how many people stood up at 10am in Muirhouse Social Work Centre,bet the bully didnt. 

Friends and Readers. The football world cup is almost upon us and our couches and tv sets will be red hot. Unfortunatly Scotland is not there, but many other nations big and small will battle it out for footballs greatest trophy.

Pilton Sucks.com has no particular favourite but we went out and about last week to guage the punters opinions on who might emerge as the winner.

Friends and Readers. If you not already aware Scotland On Sunday printed Scotlands power100. In 70th place was a chap by the name of Charles Hammond who is chairman of Forth Ports. Could this be the same Charles Hammond who is with Scottish Enterprise, if it is then this must be a direct conflict of interests, apart from plain greed.

Mr. Hammond is over seeing 400 acres of [quote] semi derelict land which will provide the base for the capitals new waterside quarter.

Does Mr. Hammond realise that Foriegn Labour is being used to turn this land into the new super duper all singing all dancing world. Why could he in his glass tower not have asked for local labour to be given a chance instead of cheap labour to maximise profits for themselves and their shareholders.

Under Hammond the companys value and share price has surged upwards in recent years, is it any wonder. Pilton Sucks.com asks the question, did councillor Mcginnis know about this and where does she stand on local employment, if she did know of this direct conflict of interest and said or done nothing, her position is surely untenable, as it is the community of Greater Pilton have and will not benifit as long as she remains in post.

Among her many other interests she is the council appointed chair of the waterfront board and has a duty to the people who she is supposed to represent, it is becoming more apparent, that they were taken for mugs and their representation is well down her list.

As the Labour party becomes more steeped in trouble it does not need politicians who swan around and hide behind the partys skirts. The Labour party is lost to these people and they will strangle it and blame everybody else.

So Mr Hammond will probably not lose any sleep about the ruling party asking any questions which he may find difficult to answer. In Fact quite the opposite as long as we have complacency in power the more these greedy individuals like Hammond like it.

Friends and Readers. To-day 25-05-06 is national stand up to bullying day. All across the nation at 10am people will stand up wherever they are to signify their support for this worthy and important cause.

People of all ages will take a moment to show their disgust at this terrible disease, and show their support against bullying.

Pilton Sucks.com fully supports this day and we will take a moment to stand up and show our support for the anti bullying campaign. We will also take that moment to think of the victims we know about and those unfortunatly to come.

This can be a show of strength and show the bullys they cannot get away with this kind of behaviour.

So at 10am to-day spare a moment for anyone you know who has suffered at the hands of a bully whether it is in school or workplace,and show your defiance and refusal to accept bullying.

 Friends and Readers. We at Pilton Sucks.com have come up with a little scheme to help wind away those tedious days. We are proposing to auction a bully, anywhere in this community where you think bullying is taking place and we can certainly give you some concrete clues, you can post their name on this site and offer up what you think would be a good starting price to get rid of them from this community.

There will be no reserve price and we anticipate a flood of offers to get rid of them, for example you could bid to put them on a desert island, or invest in a rocket and put them into space, although we think it unlikely any little green men would want to put up with them, or simply give them a job with the social work department, there they could hide and be protected by blinkered management intent on seeing,hearing,speaking no evil just turn a blind eye and pretend it does not happen.

For all those culture vultures amongst us it would be like living in thomas moores utopia, a land of milk and honey where bullies roam the plain free to carry on undermining,harrasing and belittleing comfortable in the knowledge that no-one cares a dam and they are at liberty to practice their trade.

But wait a minute the worm has turned and people start to turn against the bully and begin to see through the slimey two faced smarmy no-gooders and shout out,there goes the bully, yes him look at him now found out for what he is, ah yes we knew it all along.

But Friends and Readers we just wait for the moment when this dream becomes a reality, until then we will take a trip to Midlothian where an apprentice bully is at work, trained by the master. So it seems not only are they free to roam the plain but they can enhance their career, on the backs of others oh how the talentless ones thrive in a sea of sleaze.

 

Friends and Readers. Sometimes at Pilton Sucks.com we come across little gems of wisdom, and on this occasion we have come accross one such gem. It is meant to be taken in a light hearted frame of mind, but of course as you would expect there is a message behind it.

    GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THINGS I CANNOT CHANGE- TO CHANGE THE THINGS I CANNOT ACCEPT,AND THE WISDOM TO HIDE THE BODIES OF THOSE I HAD TO KILL TODAY BECAUSE THEY GOT ON MY NERVES.

AND ALSO,HELP ME TO BE CAREFUL OF THE TOES I STEP ON TODAY AS THEY MAY BE CONNECTED TO THE FEET I HAVE TO KISS TOMORROW.

 WHEN I AM HAVING A BAD DAY AND IT SEEMS THAT PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO WIND ME UP, IT TAKES 42 MUSELS TO FROWN, 28 TO SMILE, AND ONLY 4 TO EXTEND MY ARM AND SMACK SOMEONE IN THE MOUTH.

Friends and readers. Since we launched our anti bullying in the workplace campaign, we have had a great responce from the public. It seems that you are appalled by the behaviour of bullies and like us are determined to stamp it out wherever it rears its ugly head. Recently we were invited to a days training course in the south side of the city, where several presentations where made to the audience on how to deal with workplace bullying

There was also role play which was realistic enough to be quite horrifying. At that course one of our associates was approached by a person who told us she formely worked in Muirhouse Social Work Centre and was aware that bullying had gone on there. She told us she had been reading our site and knew about as many others did the travesty that had gone on there.

We are pleased the message is getting through and people are starting to notice bullying behaviour. Also at the day course was  an MEP[member european parliment] who had been pressing for legislation to be brought forward where bullys in the work place could receive custodial sentences for which after all is a crime against the person.

Our campaign will and continue to fight against workplace bullying and the dreadful concequences for the victims, there is no place for these people in the working enviroment, work can be stressful enough without these mindless thugs making it worse.

We in the very near future will take this campaign city and country wide, and hope to make it an election issue at the forthcoming campaign. In the mean time remember be watchful,look out for your colleagues, offer assistance if you think bullying is going on,report it make sure action is taken against the bully, and above all stop them.
