Toil And Trouble

Well As auntie Lesley decides wether to stay as a councillor or carpet bag her way to the seat soon  to be vacated by Susan [i want new challenges] Deacon, Muirhouse is still in the news for one reason or another.

Ms.Hinds sits on a powder keg,she may have escaped by the skin of her lovely capped teeth over the issue of the Muirhouse Six fiasco, which of course as we all know now is in the sticky hands of her comrade leftie lizzie.

But can she perform an escape act from 34 Muirhouse Cresent the scene of some disgraceful bullying,as she knows only to well,we shall see wont we.

But the bigger question still remains to be answered, how does all this ambition help the local plebs. Councillor Mcginnis and her ever expanding empire,it never ceases to amaze how she gets away with it, auntie Lesleys  political ambitions which do not include sunny Muirhouse that is self evident. And last but certainly not least Bill Ballie Fitzpatrick, who we are told has not been seen round and about for a while.

Could it be that culture has got the better of him and he has taken to floating[probably the wrong word] round the delights of the festival. Somebody should remind him or better still auntie Lesley that we have a PURPOSE BUILT ARTS CENTRE lying doing nothing during the festival-white elephant comes to mind-

Why could not auntie Lesley have used her considerable weight in a political sense of course to push some of the lovies down Muirhouse way,now that would have been a culture shock for the little darlings.

Instead of sucking up to that old bore Connery, who is less than useless without a script in his hands, and who is after all just an actor who made a lot of money kidding people on, dear aunt Lesley should be telling the lovies of the delights of Muirhouse, and now that the lovely shopping centre has a plastic roof, they would not have to get wet trudging through the beer cans on their way to the new arts centre.

So as dear auntie Lesley ponders on the East Lothian question,we give her food for thought. If you left the sunny confines of Muirhouse you could leave behind the problems to,but on the other hand do you want the problem of the Nolans in Niddrie, surely it may be a case of better the devil you know.
