As the house prices continue to rise as does the rents, it is concievable that we may get to a situation were it is only the well heeled who will be able to afford to live in this Great city.
The new build shoe boxes that are on sale in the new and ever expanding Community of Greater Pilton have to be seen to be believed. Dont buy a cat you wont be able to swing it.
Those greedy developers backed by their friends at City Hall are having a field day,the way and amount of high rise developments that are being produced might lead you to believe that soon the rest of us will be in perpetual darkness as these awful monstrosities come on stream.It might even give the city fathers the opportunity to charge us extra on our community charge for daylight.
Nobody in power gives a damm just keep building and as high as you want,even leftie Lizzie has said she would like to buy a penthouse flat, well at least it would keep her out of the way of the punters,and she is probably one of the few locals who could afford one.
She could certainly view her expanding empire from up in the gods,and take in the sights of the rest of us mere mortals running around like headless chickens trying to make ends meet.
the over inflated prices of these loosely called houses certainly gives you the impression that the developers shun the idea of affordable housing whatever that means.
Greater pilton is certainly an unemployment blackspot,but by the time these hidious buildings are complete we will be in a permanent blackspot.
