We have heard a strong rumour that at long last an investigation into the activities of the Muirhouse bully is to take place.We cannot confirm this but our source is good and her information is usually correct.

When our source told us of this latest twist in the story of the Muirhouse Two she said that three cheers went up were she worked,such is the tasteless reputation of the bully.

If this information is correct and we have no reason to believe otherwise,then this is a forward step.although we hold our breath given the reputation of cover up that the Social Work Department has.

We welcome an open and frank investigation looking at all the facts available and speaking to the eye witnesses who seen what went on. We have reported to you the whitewash of an investigation conducted by John Mules,that will not be allowed to rest and further action on that farce of a report is ongoing.

So our faith in open and honest investigations is a little stretched.Never the less Pilton Sucks will pursue the truth and print the outcome,you can run but you cannot hide,neither can your bad tempered assistant.

 Yes you might have known,nowght to do with me Fitzpatrick and the good life Mcginnis,have been re-selected by a handful of punters, to stand as candidates at the next local elections.

They have been thrust upon us once again,only this time we have a chance to boot them out.These two tired politicians have nothing to offer except more of the same,and look where that has got us. We languish at rock bottom of the social and economic scale,and we have these two numpties to thank for that.

They have even had the advantage of having a Labour Government,and still they cannot get it right. While Ms. Mcginnis works tirelessly for herself, nowght to do with me Fitzpatrick wanders around making the place look untidy,that is when he is not swaning around with his ballie cap on.

Surely we can do better than these two,was there not enough candidates to go round.or is nobody interested except the diehards and wannabees like our old friend Dave lackie Pickering who is hovering in the background desperate for a chance to stand again. Reminds us a lot of Dave [fatboy]hewitt who is another one who uses the community for his own benifits.

But all is still to play for as we have it on good authority that a community candidate will emerge from the Granton side of the ward and offer a real alternative to the ruling elite. Some names have been passed to us but one name stands out,but at the moment we cannot get confirmation.

The ruling elite and their lackies have sold us down the river and reaped the benifits of this do nothing attitude,just take a look for youreselves at how Ms. Mcginnis has built herself a nice little empire on the backs of the people she has managed to con. We think and hope not for much longer,as this community has to wake up and realise that they have been had for a very long time and continue to be so.

Stop this gravey train of the same old same and the nowght to do with me mentality. and take a chance on something different.the ruling elite have shut down debate and closed down any kind of resistance.it is time to bring it back.

The most destructive thing about office bullies is that they tend to target co-workers as i have had the misfortune to witness. It is not much different than school yard bullying this target was not the kid with the Coke-bottle glasses.

Instead,workplace bullies tend to drive out colleagues they view as threats:those who are technically competent,independant,possess good social skills and have strong ethics[and thus may be whistleblowers]

Targets tend to be reluctant to report bullying, primarily for fear of retribution, but also because they run the risk of being labeled a whiner or a snitch,or losing their job outright if the bully is their superior.

Although the bully might wish you to strike out and thereby face losing your job victims commit fewer than one in ten acts of workplace violence.

Unfortuatly if the stress of facing a tormenter at work every day becomes to much the bullied may eventually snap.

Most targets are as equally likely to commit suicide as violence to others. They turn inward,they blame themselves thay become more depressed, they have post-traumatic stress. It is more like domestic violence,where my own work experience is. Targets will often say they’ve been raped,intellectual rape.

I write this with deep regret as I witnessed bullying and did not come forward to report what i seen and heard. I to agree with the previous writer that the victim of the Muirhouse bully is a shadow of the person he once was.

I have left the profession and now work in private practice,and i am ashamed that I done nothing to help someone who has suffered greatly. I am sorry deeply sorry for my cowardice,but it has taught me a lesson, stamp on workplace bullying immediatly or potentially lives could be at risk.

We are told the economy is booming with jobs and prospects a plenty. And yet we in Greater Pilton are an unemployment blackspot,coupled with the fact that 345 acres is being redeveloped right under our noses.

That 345 acres of land is largely owned by three major landowners Waterfront Edinburgh[wel]-120 acres- Forth ports at Granton Harbour-116 acres- and second site[formely scottish gas]-100 acres-. So that gives you an overall idea of who ownes what.

We are also told about 35,000 people will eventually live and work at the Granton Waterfront. All very nice and good,but what of Mr. and Mrs. or Ms. average who would welcome employment now. Well thats a different story dependant on who you are talking to at the time. It is abudantly clear we have been sold down the river by the ruling elite with lies and more lies, oh and a couple of statistics thrown in as well.

The local community and by that we mean the Greater Pilton community just in case of confusion,have been mere bystanders in this bandwagon of a development.

Let us take you back a little while to the design of the so called master plan.

This is what the master plan was set up to do

1]Deliver a comprehensive and viable regeneration plan which will help reinforce Edinburghs role as a major international city-a waterfront city-

2]Propose enough new development to support a high-quality higher density living and working environment which can help to make waterfront granton buzz and come to life.

3]Ensure that the development of waterfront granton is FULLY INTEGRATED - SOCIALLY AS WELL AS PHYSICALLY-with the neighbouring communities of North Edinburgh.

Well does anybody recognise that, particularly the last bit about integration, stuff and nonsence isnt it. The existing community will be swamped and swept away so that this figure of 35,000 can be accomadated. We have been lied to right from the start by the very people who now want you to re-elect them,if you do you deserve what you get.

We have never been included in any kind of master plan and since the goal posts have moved dramaticaly,it is unlikely we ever will be. We are the front line troops,it is us who will suffer in this new dawn. What should be happening is existing community regeneration along side the new development,not be sold a white elephant of stock transfer and the false promises of a new tomorrow.

If you went to Councillor Fitzpatricks surgery and asked him what was going on he would just reply it was nothing to do with him and that it was a private development-oh really-

And in between foreign holidays Councillor Mcginnis would tell you she was on your side and would make sure this community got the best deal.What she forgets to tell you the best deal she is refering to is for herself and her only.

And Chisholm well you are just wasting your time you would be better watching childrens tv you would get more sense.

 

The voting foder will soon be asked to mark their x against the candidate of their choice. And that very word choice is the wrong word to use. you the voters will have not chosen the candidate,but a secret conclave of individuals will make the choice for you.

We in Greater Pilton have had to endure the same tired characters time and time again,churning out the same tired old message which has faded into the distance as community living and its realities bite.But come the next election under a different voting system,there is an opportunity for change,only if the people vote for it.

This presents a real opportunity to turf the old faces out and return new people and let them have a chance to make a difference. The ruling elite of Chisholm, Fitzpatrick and Mcginnis are complacement and regard themselves as the only ones worth electing. They are backed by a party machine which grinds you down and wears you out until you concede and vote for them.

They have no devine right to be elected,they only think that,and we the citizens of Greater Pilton are only a stepping stone for them to achieve their goal.We already know Councillor Mcginnis and her activities are under a dark cloud,we also know that Councillor Fitzpatrick[nowght to do with me] was due to be dumped by his mates but has got a last minute reprive.

And last but not least Mr. smary aloof Chisholm chained to the small band of back stabbers who reselected him at Leith Community Centre.Chisholm has kept a low profile on local employment related to the Waterfront,he to must know of the cheap foreign labour employed to maximise the profits for the developers,but still does nothing,he is worse than useless.

As communities minister he has a duty to get the best he can for the communities he serves,but does he. His track record as health minister was dreadful and this is the same hypocrite who stood outside the Western General Hospital supposedly campaigning to retain the accident and emergency unit. the guys a joke.

Communties deserve better than this lot can offer. But voters it is up to you. Remenber if you vote for the same faces you will get the same dusty old message,with promises that will not be kept. Nothing new there,only this time you can make a difference and give the ruling elite a kick into touch,and send them into overdue retirement,where they can sit and twiddle their thumbs,with the exception of Councillor Mcginnis who has her dubious empire to fall back on.

But all empires go the same way they crumble because the peasants revolt or the dictators get a little to greedy. History has a nasty habit of repeating itself.

We have been contacted by our source at Shrubhill House who tells us that ace investigator and pal of the Muirhouse bully John Mules has completed his investigation,without of course talking to witnesses,and more or less called one of the Muirhouse two a liar.

Strong language indeed,we all know who the liars are,the bully and his dim witted assistant,but as predicted friend Mules has chosen to side with his pal and allow this cover up to continue. What a seedy and slimey situation. This bully has been getting away with it for years,and out of sheer fear for their own skins,no proper investigation has yet taken place.

A proper outside investigation into the cases of the Muirhouse Two must be demanded,for then and only then will the real truth of what went on at Muirhouse Social Work Centre be encouraged to surface,this old pals act brings the department into disrepute,and allows these despots to escape through the net and evade justice.

Not only have these victims of bullying not been given a proper hearing,and the perpetrators not been suspended pending investigation,it has allowed the bulliers to cover their tracks,and pretend innocence.

But what of the other victim,who suffered far more and whose health hit rock bottom.We understand from outside sources that witnesses are in their words lining up to come forward in defence of what can only be called hateful behaviour towards him. We know from information received how highly he is thought of in his community,and colleagues who have spoken to us have repeated this.

In building a case against bullying we have heard from people who witnessed bullying,experienced bullying,and are now taking a stand against it.We can only guess at the trauma and distress which victims of bullying suffer,the isolation they have to endure,and the personal battles they face to come to terms with what happened to them.

We spoke recently in the Prentice centre to a friend of one of the victims,and she told us of the complete change in personality she had witnessed,of an introverted, quite, lonely person devoid of what he once was. She went on to say although he refused to speak of what had happened to him,strong rumors had spread in the community,of bullying and ill treatment of a horrendous nature.

Those that know him closely tell of a person who is not there anymore,and is reluctant to talk on any subject and only his love of football brings out any kind of spark within him.

Truely a terrible case,and it only hardens our resolve to continue our campaign against workplace bullying. What we heard was an emotional out pouring for a popular person lost to a community,because of a concetrated,premeditated attack by those who quite clearly from what we have heard were of a lesser ability,and were determined to inflict as much damage as possible while hiding behind what ever they could.

And to top it off the Social Work Department try to cover for these dreadful individuals,whose impotence is plainly obvious,coupled with as workplace bullying researchers put it, limited ability,who stalk a victim and then strike repeatedly,until their victim is exhausted and unable to go on any longer. The frightening thing is were is the backup when all this is going on.who does the victim turn to. Will they listen or will they turn their backs as seems clear in this case.

We cannot go into what is in the twisted mind of a bully that is for experts in that field,or as one eye witness said to us,you have a bully,and another guy who cannot control his temper as his assistant.what a double act. Who would want to work in a situation like that.and more so why is it allowed.

No friends and readers this is a tragic situation where the bullies are given a clean bill of health,and the victims are made to suffer,why simple really it is easier to harrass the victims than punish the bullies.

This as we say tragic case is repeated in many other workplaces,but light is coming through and awareness is being raised of the plight of victims and their tormentors.

The Muirhouse bully may think he is getting away with it,but he knowes and we know that others feel the same and you will not get away with it forever.

There are to many people available to come forward,and are they all liars dont think so do you.

We now have the Community Councils in Greater Pilton up and almost running.It would seem that the change of office brearers if reports are to be believed over at Royston/Wardieburn has been a positive move and they are beginning to surface,but they still have Councillor Mcginnis to deal with,and nobody envies them that task.

Never the less they are in place and we have got to make sure they work with as little political interference as possible.We were asked a question the other day for which we did not have the answer,so we will throw it open to you to see if you can come up with the answer.

Question How many members of the community councils in Greater Pilton have PEP members on them,or employees of PEP on them? Answer We do not know but would be interested to find out. Could it be that this is a plan by leftie Lizie to find out what other Community Councils are up to.We hope not as this would in our opinion constitute politcal interference,and abusing her position as manager of PEP.

We already have lapdog Betty Stevenson over at Muirhouse who reports everything back to her mistress stiileto heeled Provest Hinds.

Over at Drylaw/Telford Community Council we have the Pickering clan,fair weather friends and crawlers to the politcal elite of Greater Pilton. The Pickerings need to keep their contacts going with this elite as their jobs depend on cap in hand crawling.

It seems West Granton/Pilton escapes from the clutches of rule bending and political favours. It is only because of Mr. Fitzpatricks lazieness that they escape political interference,and his usual nowght to do with me attitude[wonder if he will say that on Wedensday 25-10-06 in the Prentice Centre-nomination and selection evening-]

Can it be that West Granton is leading the way in community politics closely followed by the suprise package Royston/Wardieburn. Certainly none of these two have come up with the hair brained scheme of twining a town in Palastine with Muirhouse. Wonder who thought that little gem up.

It is clear that the community councils have some way to go to shift any political baggage,and set themselves up as voices for their community.

Ms. Mcginnis needs with urgency to be put firmly in her place as one new activist puts it-she attends every meeting and tries to take charge-. This is not healthy for community democracy,and can only put others off,but then again mabey thats what she wants.

So the sticky tenticles of the Labour Party are still clutching to every aspect of community life, now they have a partner in PEP which is being used in many peoples opinion as a vehicle for the Labour Party,and to satisfy Ms. Mcginnis and her lust and love of power.

The best thing to do would be to kick her out on Wedensday evening and replace her with someone who actually cares what happens in this community not just profit from.But alas that probably will not happen unless someone else is nominated from the floor,or have they changed that rule to.

This fraud of a nomination and selection meeting is a disgrace to democracy and just keeps the partys decisions in a few select hands.What a carve up Mcginnis and Fitzpatrick again more torture more empty promises,more lies and deceit. 

And the strange thing is that had Auntie Lesley been a candidate Fitzpatrick would have been dumped,and as he was saying earlier this year,he would just stand as an independant candidate if he were dumped as expected,so much for his loyalties.

We need fresh blood flowing through this community not more of the same lies and deceit we are used to. If selected Mcginnis and her new best friend Fitzpatrick will just tow the party line regardless of how if effects the voters of this community. We cannot tolerate another term of Lady Muck Mcginnis her handling of the Waterfront and rumors of dodgy dealing has tainted this community and she has to go.

The carving up of this community has to stop and it will only stop if citizens take control of their own destineys and not be firmly ground down by the party machine and its lackies.

November 7th is amost upon us,and we would like to remind you that it is BAN BULLYING AT WORK DAY.This gives employees everywhere an opportunity to reflect on what they have seen or experienced with regards to bullying.

As you know we at Pilton Sucks are actively campaigning for an end to bullying in the workplace,and will continue to do so.

You will have read the torment suffered by the Muirhouse Two at the hands of a serial bully,torment which has not come to an end and will not until the bully is caught and punished. You will also have read how bullying is covered up to avoid having to do something about it,and so is allowed to flourish unchecked with the resulting suffering of victims.

Along with the Andrea Adams trust and others we want to highlight the pain,suffering and subcequent ill health which bullying causes.Bullys always know what they are,but are convinced by some warped mentality,they are right and everyone else is wrong.

This is classic bullying syndrom experienced by the Muirhouse Two and others who have unfortuatly fallen victim to workplace bullying.

Those who have witnessed bullying in the workplace have a moral duty to come forward and tell what they seen. No-one is safe from the clutches of a bully and once their target is no-more they will move on to another. Oh of course it wont be right away,that would be giving the game away. But such is the high opinion they hold themselves in,it will not be long before another victim is chosen.

The bully is a predator,and needs victims to satisfy his craven need for power. Usually an inadequate person,the bully needs to force his opinion on others and because he is not capable of reasoning,without getting angry,his obvious port of call will be to return to his tried and tested method,bullying the person into submission.

It is clear from research carried out that the bully is usually known to others,but the attitude is taken that if they do not have to work with him they will not suffer.That is a mistaken ideal,for the virus of the bully can spread into other departments,causing staff to take stock and realise that this character truely is a bully,and must be stopped.

People who have witnesed bullying or have had to treat the effects bullying has on a person will know the utter horror which the victim has had to live with.and what he is going through.

It is abudantly clear we are all potential victims of bullying in the workplace either directly or indirectly,possibly as a victim or as part of a cover up,either way suffering is amplified if nothing is done to flush the bully out into the open where he can clearly be identified as a workplace criminal.

So as you go about your daily business on November 7th remember,remember the victims who you know, the victims who continue to suffer,the destruction of one person by another. And remember if you can do something about do so,come forward speak up.

Cowardice asks the question is it safe? Expediency asks the question is it politic?Vanity asks the question is it popular? But conscience asks the question is it right? And there comes a time when we must take a position that is neither safe nor politic nor popular,but you must take it because your conscience tells you it is right.

REPORT THE BULLY.

None other than the peoples champion Councillor Elizabeth Mcginnis whose self seeking,self promoting,empire building has always come first to serving her punters,which she was elected to do. While she bleats on about how much she has done for her community,she should draw breath,before the wind of her deceit knocks her down.

Our foreign holiday queen does not give a toss about the interests of this community,it is just a tool to get her elected,for without that prize she is powerless,to carry on in her private secretive world of dodgy dealing,with her two faced friends the nameless faceless deal makers.

The Labour Party has a chance to get rid of her on Wedensday 25-10-06 at the Prentice Centre in West Granton Road where she will have to prostrate herself in front of a handful of members and through gritted teeth tell them how much she wants to serve the punters once again.

They will probably believe her as there does not seem much chance of an alternative candidate appearing,certainly not from the Labour party.

That is a great shame as there must be other choices than Ms.Mcginnis,if not it shows how weak and insidious the local Labour party really is.

If it were the peoples choice she would have no chance,and she must know that,whatever she is she is not stupid. The Greater Pilton Community does not need or want Ms. Mcginnis,she has sold them out to many times,and along with nowght to do with me Fitzpatrick, may get another chance to inflict theirselves on us once again.

What have we become that we allow a handful of party hacks to decide who should be selected to represent us. We have said before that we need a peoples candidate,a community candidate to come forward and challenge the might of the party machine and show that we will not be pushed around anymore by them or their lackies.

Truth and Ideals,she and nowght to do with me fitzpatrick to a lesser extent have become complacent and cocky that all they have to do is stand and they will be elected by the voters.

One more thing, it has come to our attention in fact it was pointed out to us by a neutral observer who was passing comment on community issues that Councillor Fitzpatrick if selected wont have his election agent available to him as he is fighting a case of severe mistreatment by his employers,and she also told us that friend bill has done nothing to help him,and has in fact turned his back on him.

We do not know if there is any truth in these rumours which we have heard from several people,but knowing Mr. Fitzpatrick we would not be suprised. Sad indeed if true. But by showing his true colors it reveals his character and it is nothing to write home about,is it bill.

As the debate goes on about what price do you put on afforable housing and were do you put them in this new jeruselm of the Waterfront,the word social has come into play.

Just exactly what is social housing and who is it for. We are thrown these grand statements without any substance behind them.So what is the mystery and were is the substance. Will any of it materialise? not yet anyway and nobody in any kind of senior position whether it be elected or annointed,or is it appointed,take your choice,seems willing or able to help us.

Could it be that Ray bland statement Harris head honcho down at Telford college might have the answer. He could use the same statement he used recently at the Waterfront Summit. I am ready at nine oclock  Monday morning[which monday is that Ray] to join it all up. Pehaps he would be better with a puzzel book,for it is certain that the powers that be will try and get away with as little affordable and social housing as possible,and then call it a success.

But the way Ray do you know what affordable and social mean.perhaps you could apply for funding and start a community project in an attempt to unravel this mystery.
