Concerned Ever So slightly

One of our associates had a conversation the other day with a member of the Drylaw Tellford Community Council. She was a little concerned about the political leaning of said Council. Our friend replyed that political opinions were a good a positive thing. She agreed but went on to say not just one partys opinion.

She told us that she would favour listening to opinions from all political persuasions. We agreed and said she should mention this at the next meeting, and not to be put off by Lackies from any political party.

We mentioned The Muirhouse Community council to her by way of highlighting poltical bias. She new about that, and thought it was sinister, and the members were being bulldozed into complying. We would not go that far as some members wont be bulldozed into complying. Muirhouse Salveston Community Council is in danger of becoming a political lackie if Dearest Betty Stevenson has her way, which she wont.

We have more of a hope for the West Granton Community Council,we will wait and see.

Over at sunny Royston/Wardieburn they have problems of their own to sort out. They sorted the first one out by changing the office bearers, the question on that one is why did it take them so long to do it. Couldnt have been political interference could it. But they have a bigger problem in the shape of Councillor Mcginnis. We reported that a new member  of that Council was already fed up with Ms. Mcginnis interfering all the time.

West Granton have Councillor nothing to do with me Fitzpatrick to deal with and it seems he is playing by the rules on this one, only attending when required. So one up to West Granton on that item.

Muirhouse oh dear Muirhouse, not only have they got an active bully in that dreary building they have the cheek to call a Social Work Department, They have Betty dubious citizen of the year Stevenson as chair of the Community Council, might as well hand it to the Labour party to run,as we all know she is Lesley Hinds lapdog and worships at her high heeled feet.

What to do. well we suppose it is still early days. Drylaw Tellford might well be a lot cause to political bias but there is still hope for the rest, well mabey.then again mabey not.

There are shoots of hope to be harvested as some members will fight what they see as single party bias and that is all to the good.

As a sporting bet and one of community interest,we asked the local bookie on the information we provided him with to offer odds on which community council might break the single party bias first, if any at all.

He suprised us with his odds

Qustion In your gambling opinion which of the local community councils on the information provided will be first to break the poltical bias.

Answer: On information provided we have the pleasure in offering the punters the following odds.

West Granton/Pilton  1/4 on to be first past the post.

Royston/Wardieburn to follow at 1/1 even money

Muirhouse/Salveston 15/1 against breaking the poltical bias. But these long odds would be reduced if Betty Stevenson were not chair.

DrylayTellford. A long shot at 25/1 the bookie sees no hope of political bias changed, unless a radical shake up of office bearers takes place which he thinks given the information is unlikely.

So there you have it these odds will be reviewed on a bi-monthly basis. So on the information given and the subcequent odds,it looks like West Granton and suprisingly Royston/Wardieburn look like the leading contenders to break the mould of single party bias. PLACE YOUR BETS LADIES AND GENTLEMEN.
