What do we understand to be the nature of inclusion. To be consulted perhaps, to have an awareness of what’s going on,perhaps. To be involved in decision making,that to perhaps. Yes all of these things which involve your community life and how it is affected on a day to day basis.

We have said before that this particular SIP[SOCIAL INCLUSION PARTNERSHIP] is a good example of trying to involve as many locals as possible.

The other side of the coin is the balance that has to be struck between inclusion and keeping the political masters happy. that is no easy job as the politicians have their party agenda to keep to and use their weight to make sure it is on the SIP agenda.

This becomes a sinister business when politicians use their influence to shut up shop so little or no information gets to the community,or only the news which our political masters wish us to know.

The Waterfront Development is one item of business which is kept very much away from the local community thereby breeding suspicion,that all is not what it should be. It seems to be clear that Councillor empress Mcginnis has a deliberate policy of letting out no more information than is absolutely necessary. Why do you think that might be. And what of nowght to do with me Fitzpatrick in all this secrecy. Goodness only knowes  he seems to be as far removed from what is going on as we all are.

But that is certainly no excuse either is his standard reply to any problem he cannot face up to. The empress has supressed any community involvement and nowght to do with me Fitzpatrick has stood back and allowed it to happen. Don’t rock the boat and i will get reselected with the minimum of fuss. More like the skin of your teeth Bill.

The clandistine going’s on down waterfront way has given rise to complete community mistrust and that shows no sign of letting up. If there is nothing to hide then let’s have a look at the books and put to bed this suspicion. But we all know that won’t happen and the same old same will carry on as before till they are kicked out of office.

While this community is left at the starting gates the development kicks on at pace with the freedom to build what and where they like and to hell with any idea of community involvement,that might mess things up and we can’t have that can we. 

We have had to take a sharp intake of breath,as we have been informed that the Muirhouse bully aided by his dim witted assistant have assaulted and verbally abused another member of staff.

This member of staff has only been in post a few months,but has now experienced what we have been saying has been going on for a long time.

This is an incredible situation,once again a staff member has been abused and while an investigation was taking place into the activities of the bully and his assistant.We believe the police should be brought in with immediate effect and charges brought against the bully and his assistant.

What on earth is going on at Muirhouse Social Work Centre and who is in charge of Criminal Justice there. If it is the same person who has consistently covered for the bully then this latest episode is another nail in her coffin.

The bully has quite clearly lead her a merry dance and completely pulled the wool over her eyes,but that is no excuse and she must carry the can,or expose the bully,but we fear it is to late for that,and she has to fall on her own sword. This thug of a man and his cowardly assistant have to be removed from post without any further delay.

We believe the evidence against these two including this latest disgraceful episode is now so overwhelming they have become an embarrasment and a possibly costly one to the Health and Social care department. What must be going through the mind of the bullys manager as she now comes to terms with the fact that she was conned by him. We believe she should have had enough intelligence to see through him,and if this latest episode is not enough to convince her,then she to must go.

 Criminal Justice and in particular Community Service where these two practice there trade has no future if these two remain there,nor we fear does anybody else such is the danger he poses to other members of staff.

This bully is dangerous and will as we have said previously attack again,unfortunatly we have been proved correct. We are more than hopeful that when this latest outburst by the bully reaches the ears of the investigating team coupled with the evidence they must already have,then their conclusion has to be dismissal for these two people,who have made others lives a misery,and even managed to push one to the brink of suicide. 

STV. No not the TV channel,but the new local election voting proceedure. It is abundantly clear that many Labour councillors are seething that their inbuilt majorities are under threat and some of them will be thrown out come election day. This was shown up by the rush of comrades to take the pay off and run.

This offers the real opportunity for others to come forward and state their case for being elected. We understand from information received that a community candidate will come forward in this new ward,the Forth Ward, and why not after all this is a democracy and power does not belong to any political party. We are lead to believe that the candidate and we have heard a number of names banded about,will emerge from the Granton side of the ward.

We have heard nothing officially but if the rumours are true then we could be in for an interesting contest,a real test of public opinion.When we have a confirmation we will let you know.As the establishment candidates Mcginnis, Fitzpatrick and that awful little man Jackson try to mussle anybody else out of the picture and galvanise what support they think they have got,do not be suprised if a little mud is flung in an attempt by these three stooges to frighten anyone else off.

Fitzpatrick’s nowght to do with me stance will hold him in bad stead,as will empress Mcginnis and her numerous conflicts of interest. As for Jackson how could anybody be bothered with him,but as we all know the blue rinse brigade can mobilise when needed.

God help us if the real Torries get anywhere,at least with the pretend Torries who hold office by the skin of their teeth at the moment,they can shed their skin when required and kid on they are the friends of the people,while robbing them at every opportunity.

This coming election dear friends could alter the way politics is practised in this city. Allow this thought to pass through you. Would empress Mcginnis have been allowed to get away with what she has,if the scrutiny panal was used more often and been given teeth,who knows,but it is certainly worth a thought don’t you think. 

So Malcolm Chisholm has martyred himself on the cross of principle. Not for the first time has he resigned on a point of principle. So why not resign from Parliment altogether if you are so hung up on principles.

All Mr. Chisholm has done is to hand the batton to the opposition allowing them mileage to exploit as the country heads towards an election. Mr. principled Chisholm was selected and elected on a Labour ticket and has now twice stabbed them in the back. He is of course entitled to his opinions and to argue his point rightly so,but to allow a free ride to the opposition is a disgrace,and Mconnell should have had the balls to sack him.

If he feels so strongly then he should do the principled thing and resign completely,but then if he did that his meal ticket would come to an end,so much for principles then.

Chisholm is the worst kind of lowlife he is a traitor,and has sold his party out.He was useless as communities minister and done nothing for the punters he represents in this community. Spineless and aloof thats the best way to describe this MSP.

He has as anybody else has the right to dissagree and fight his corner,but when he endangers his chosen party it is time to be kicked out. Yes he may grab a few cheap headlines and please some of the party hacks,but what of the punters he is supposed to represent in Greater Pilton,they are left hanging on the alter of his principles.

Mr aloof Chisholm should have had the principles to resign from his seat and let the people decide his fate,but oh no that is one principle to far,so we will have to wait until may to voice our concerns about principled Chisholm.

The one saving grace in all this is that,with chisholm not resigning the seat it keeps that camp follower Keith Geddes from sniffing around. our old friend and consultant to the Labour party would turn up at the opening of an envelope,so imagin the sudden rush of blood to his head if he thought that Edinburgh and North Leith was up for grabs.

So Mr. aloof Chisholm in one sense has done the punters a favour. By not resigning from the seat he has kept the possibility or the horrible thought of consultant Geddes from throwing his hat into yet another ring. 

The council chamber got a pre xmas treat this week,with the sight of Councillor empress Mcginnis in full flight lunging towards Councillor Sheils as she refused to back the overly expensive completely useless proposed tram system.

Of course we residents of North Edinburgh realise why empress Mcginnis is so in favour of this white elephant scheme,yes you guessed it her pals down at Waterfront HQ want it, so what they want they get,or something very much like it,isn’t that right Liz?

Over at Bill nowght to do with me Fitzpatrick’s side of the ward were nothing ever seems to happen,he is yet to comment on this Waterfront debacle. He is unlikely to say anything other than his tried and trusted comment IT’S NOWGHT TO DO WITH ME.

Unfortunatly it has everything to do with this no comment councillor who sits back and watches empress Mcginnis run the show and get away with what she likes. What about showing some resolve and backbone,and standing up to protect your punters from the vicious onslaught of the Waterfront brigade.

But alas no nowght to do with me Fitzpatrick would rather hide away and pretend nothing is going on,and then have the cheek to ask the voters to return him for yet another term.

Councillor Fitzpatrick’s track record on fighting his punters corner makes very poor reading and has yet to come out publicly on any important issues concerning this community. He cannot continue to hide his head in the sand while this community is sold off by empress Mcginnis and her cronies.

Remember Bill it was not that long ago that both Gucchi heeled Hinds and Empress Bunty were plotting to drop you from the Labour ticket,and you were going around telling anybody that could be bothered to listen,that these two B—–DS were trying to dump you and if they did you would run as an independant,so much for party loyalty then Bill.

So you owe Bunty nothing so why do and say nowght,get up off your fat ass and get in gear and make sure your punters are tuned in to what is really going on.

If not then it won’t be Bunty and Gucchi Hinds that dump you,it will be the punters you keep ignoring.  

You will remember we reported to you about the fiasco surrounding the Lighthouse Studios in Granton,well here is an update.

The City Council for those that are unaware has spent £200,000 of community charge payers money on developing new plans for the studios. Along comes Councillor Mcginnis with some trumped up cock and bull story and bingo the lease is not to be renewed.

Councillor Mcginnis and bestest buddy Stephen Izzat the cheif executive of Waterfront Edinburgh have other super duper plans for this community facility. When Mr. Izatt was asked what facilities would replace the studios, he just shrugged his shoulders and said.

The market will ultimately decide. How about that then for an insight into how Ms. Mcginnis and her bestest buddy think. So much for community consultation,planning and social inclusion.

While we are at it did you know that the Pilton Elderly Project is the only community group to receive financial support from Waterfront Edinburgh as part of its so called community charm offensive. Surely Councillor Mcginnis must know that this is a serious conflict of interest,and must be bordering on dodgy legal ground.

One last tit bit which we regard as criminal. The City council,through Waterfront Edinburgh,has given £33 million in public subsidy for infrastructure,shore-works and land decontamination. This money is the local tax payers money which is being used to subsidise housing for the wealthy.And just to add salt in the wounds those who reside in this SIP area have the greatest levels of deprevation in the lothians and East Scotland.

We have called for the resignation of Councillor Mcginnis,we repeat this she has to go,she has played the locals for suckers while snuggling up to her new friends the developers.

What about Councillor nowght to do with me Fitzpatrick,he does not escape,although he has tried to,he is guilty for doing nothing and allowing empress Mcginnis a free hand in these murky dealings. He to has lost the confidence of the voters and is living on past memories.

What a tangled web of deciet and cheating. The punters do not have a clue what is going on and only find out by reading our site. This is a diabolical situation millions of pounds chucked at the Waterfront parasites and the punters of Greater Pilton left to scramble for the scrapes. We desperatly need political change,the elections cannot come quick enough.

We have it on good authority that a major scandal in North Edinburgh is about to break. This will involve some high profile people who have directly benifited from council patronage.

We understand that a whistle blower is about to come forward and have his say. He has told us he is sick to death of the corrupt practices that have inflicted North Edinburgh and Greater Pilton in particular.

We are aware of some of his allegations and from what we know they ring true. Friends of councillors directly benifiting by securing employment. Party members[Labour party] directly employed in community projects,friends of councillors[and we have the names] whose project funding was made easier by their close association with councillors.

We have known for some time that dodgy dealing goes on hidden behind rules and regulations,and that projects have been kept afloat with public money,due mainly to private lobbying and sleazy practices.

We have been monitoring community projects for some time and we are well aware that some projects are better funded than others,and not because they are good projects but because of personal relationships.This may sound fine but in reality the money is granted on the nod,a you scratch my back i’ll lick your ass mentality.

We offer encouragement to this whistle blower to come forward and tell his story,it should make very uncomfortable reading for some. He has authorised us to tell you he is a former employee of a community project,which he states was funded far more than it should have been or warrented,and at one time was in such a mess it should have been closed,mainly due to incompetent management,but stayed afloat due to outside influences and back door deals.

Ring any bells does it.

It has become almost inevitable in recent years for the issue of bullying at work to hit the headlines of national press at least once a year.

This year it was the Trades Union Congress which made headlines by designating 7 November as BAN BULLYING AT WORK DAY. They published figures that suggested around 2 million people had been bullied at work in the previous six months and called on the Government to outlaw bullying at work warning that the problem accounts for the loss of some 18 million working days each year.

This year in August it was a bullying at work claim that hit the headlines Helen Green a former company secretary employed by Deutsche Bank was awarded £800,000 in compensation for the damage to her health caused by bullying. Ms. Green alleged that Deutsche Bank was vicariously liable for the psychiatric injury she suffered as a result of harassment and bullying by her fellow employees. Mr. justice Owen at Londons high court said that the behaviour which amounted to A DELIBERATE AND CONCERTED CAMPAIGN OF BULLYING was a long-standing. 

This kind of campaign was exactly the same as we have been informed went on at Muirhouse Social Work Centre,which resulted as we understand in the victim trying to take his own life.

The high court found that the bank was in breach of its duty of care to Ms. Green in failing to take any adequate steps to protect her from such behaviour. Again we see striking similarities in the Muirhouse case. It said that Ms. Green’s line manager knew or ought to have known what was going on,and the bullying could and should have been stopped.

Once again this from our information mirror images the Muirhouse situation.

The High Court also found that the stress created by the relentless campaign of bullying went beyond that normally to be expected in the workplace and that it was foreseeable that some people would not be able to withstand such stress and consequently suffer some form of psychiatric injury.

Ms. Green’s case exemplified why organisations across the country are concerned to stamp out bullying-because organisations that fail to do so risk paying a high price in sickness absense,potential court or tribunals awards,damage to reputation and adverse publicity.

It would seem from what was allowed to go on at Muirhouse Social Work Centre unchecked was  systematic abuse of an employee. We have some major issues with why this was allowed to go on and who turned a blind eye and more so who was complicite in this abuse which resulted in serious health problems.

Turning away or hiding away the truth makes the guilt shared. Senior Managers who must have known what was going on did nothing and thereby encouraged bullying to go on relentlessly. Not knowing what to do is not an excuse,that will cost you dearly. Where bullying is found to be going on and the evidence shows that then immediate action is called for.

Pilton Sucks along with organisations dedicated to outlawing workplace bullying demand the removal of bullys from the work place. Those charged with investigating this crime dare not hide behind so called grey areas. If it sounds like bullying it most probably is. The destruction of self esteem,confidence,and most importantly health cannot be tolerated just to cover up for mindless thugery and criminal behaviour.

The police should have been called in at Muirhouse to investigate what was going on but in this case hindsight is a great thing. Pilton Sucks has over a period of time built up a picture of cruelty pain and suffering caused by a bully who was allowed to get away with it.

It stops now it has to. When life itself is threatened it has gone to far. 

It is always of interest to know what dodgy behaviour that our elected rulers are up to. Labour is up to it’s neck in cash for honors sleaze,with no signs of it dissapearing. Far from Blair leaving on a high note it is more likely that he will end like as a John Major type figure weighted down with sleaze and dirt. Buying favours and privilidge is more than sleazy it is down right immorral.

As the poor punters of this country try to pay their way under increasing burdens of taxation with more to come the great and the good can buy and crawl their way to a easier life,and then preach to the rest of us about the need to work hard and look after your families. MPs caught with their trousers down or fingers in the till is nothing new in fact we have come to accept politicians are in the first instance bent.

Cabinet ministers who hold the highest of public offices are caught up in underhand dealings lying and cheating the public and then trying to justify it. Not just in national office are politicians hard at it,but as we know only to well at local authority level as well. Naughty goings on at the Waterfront development under the stewardship of our old friend Empress Mcginnis. Common good assets sold off to the highest bidders, local people shoved to one side and left to stew in a pool of lies and deceit.

All done in the name of the people, we can only shake our heads in disbelief at the utter contempt that our rulers have for us. Officials running wild and allowed to do whatever they want to. Little or no political control as council departments do what they like with little or no accountability. Labour have lost the will to lead,as we have seen by so many taking the money and running. So much for looking after the punters interests,looking after your own interests is much more like it.

No friends we need a complete clear out of the old guard and a new fresh inititive brought to local politics. Our Sister site Edinburgh Sucks also calls for change and a need to get rid of these sleazy no-goods who bring politics into disrepute. Our old friends Empress Mcginnis and nowght to do with me Fitzpatrick have refused to release their grip on office, and will try and rely on loyalty from voters who traditional support Labour,but this may be fools gold,as the voters are well aware that all is not well in Greater Pilton and somebody has to carry the can,interesting times.

Labour or any other party do not have a right to office but have come to expect it. Greater Pilton like many other working class communities have been conned into voting Labour time after time,only to be slapped in the face for their loyalty. No the wind of change is blowing in this direction and we confidently expect to see someone come forward to challenge the old guard. And why not surely this is a democracy and debate should be welcomed,choice should be embraced and encouraged,not sneered at

  

It is good to see our up for re-election MSP Malcolm aloof Chisholm taking a stand against the upgrading of the Trident weapons system. There has never been a need for nuclear weapons,only in the minds of the armed forces and their desire to keep up the appearance of being a super power. As we engage in armed conflicts in Afganistan and Iraq and lifes are being lost on all sides,the possibility of using nuclear weapons to solve the problem is unthinkable. In fact our troops are unable to get basic kit never mind the use of weapons of mass destruction-you know the same weapons that Iraq were supposed to have had ready and armed to destroy civilisation as we know it.

There is no logical argument for having these weapons,as common sense tells us we can never use them,and the deterent factor is overplayed and just plain rubbish. Why oh why does there always seem to be plenty of money for our destruction but never enough for our salvation. Scotland has always been seen as a guniea pig or dumping ground,but never were people have opinions or feelings about major issues. Well it seems times have changed and a number of MSPs are saying no to weapons upgrade.

Apart from the moral argument,look what we could spend the money on and the good that could be done. We are told that the need for nuclear weapons is a complex argument and us mere plebs do not understand the technical details that lie behind the argument. No this is simply a smokescreen to deflect us from the obscenity of these horrific weapons.

The people have made their feelings known time and time again,nuclear weapons do not deter wars nor do they deter terrorism,never have never will. We can never justify an ability to destroy civilisation,but we continue to keep and upgrade weapons systems we can never use and never should.

Scotland now has it’s own administration and can make their voices heard. Our MSPs must reflect the thoughts of the nation and act on them.no more hiding,and dodgeing. You are either in favour of spending many billions of pounds on these useless and futile weapons system or you are not,simple and clear. We should be looking to keep and improve life,not spending billions on attempts to destroy it.
