We recently reported to you that an employee of the dreadful Muirhouse Social Work Centre, has a close association with the football casuals known as the Capital City Service[CCS]. How can this be. This employee has access to vunerable people and information,and is a known football hooligan.

What has the health and social care department done about this state of affairs,why nothing of course. Well today we offer the department to contact us and we will give you the name of this unsavoury individual,we also make the same offer to the police and the Evening news. We must not have dubious individuals  with access to vunerable people or information,in fact it is questionable whether he should be allowed to remain in the employ of the city. We wonder what the North Edinburgh Councillors Messers Fitzpatrick,Mcginnis and Hinds would think if they knew that a football hooligan was employed in the community.

Let’s see shall we?

Pilton Sucks does not minch it’s words.We cannot be intimidated or bullied into silence or saying the right thing. Its is long overdue when a spade should be called a spade,and this politically correct crap be binned and a return to plain speaking without fear.

We all seem to walk on egg shells afraid to even breath in case if offends someones sensitivity,too fuckin bad,if you are a bully you are a fuckin bully and need a taste of your own medicine. If politicians are up to no good and lining their own pockets then we will hump them as well,you are elected to serve others not yourself. We are sick to the back teeth of tip toeing around  in case the apple cart gets upset-too bad.

We have called for community candidates to come forward and challenge the establisment candidates who are fat and lazy and have been there too long. The ward or constiuency seats are not the property of any one candidate or party,but if you were living in Greater Pilton you would think so where Labour think they have a devine right to misrule,and regard opposition as unthinkable,only because nobody has,fear being the main enemy.

Fear not but fear itself, nobody has a right to be elected,and those that think that way may get a rude awakening. Let the lackies and hacks surround their chosen person they are not worth the effort. Let them fill the community councils with yes people,they won’t get away with it but in the cold light of day, these chinless wonders who sit at the feet of the ruling elite will get short shrift from a new and different type of politics. This community unfortunatly like others is rotten with backhanders and favours. But the backhanders and favours are only for the chosen few.

An inner circle does exist in this community. It is a silent elite based on patronage and ass licking. If the establisment candidates lose out in May,then the people who have lived on patronage might need to watch out. If a new broom is elected it must sweep clean,and make clear that jobs for the boys/girls is not on,and those days are well and truely over.

Pilton sucks has it’s finger on the pulse and it’s eye on the chancers and schemers who patronise a community and get well paid for it. We have made light of the many jobs our good friend and another regular sucks reader Dave fatboy Hewitt has had in this community. You cannot tell us that there is no-one in this community,who actually lives in this community that could not have done these jobs. Derek dodgy Suttie friend and drunken buddy of under a dark cloud rosendale,is another, what has he done that could’nt have been done by a citizen of this community. Another old friend Christine Docherty,chief squaw at NEAR how did she get that job and was there nobody in the community capable of doing it.

The unsavoury nature of how these and other posts in this community are allocated or handed to,are worthy of a closer look,certainly closer than they have been looked at. The old pals act relies on one or two of the old pals being re-elected and if they aren’t and there is only one or possibly none left what happens then? Because as surely as night follows day difficult questions to answer may well be asked,and you might not have the back up of the old pals club to help you out.

Our rulers have gotten to closely involved with individuals,who have bowed their head and been knighted with a community post. This dear friends is a direct result of Labour rule in this community,jobs for the boys/girls and in some instances for themselves. The political system in this community is corrupted and has come about over many years of the same faces calling the same tune.

The rest of us plebs,well we just get the pleasure of listening to their words of wisdom and make believe community participation. These jobsworths don’t want us around mudding up thier cushy numbers,but part of the price they pay is they have to involve the punters to make it look good,and justify their positions.

But sometimes just sometimes someone crops up with an opinion and mind of their own,which had not been corrupted,and sees the injustice of patronage but is outnumbered by the mob. We are fortunate to be blessed with a few too few it has to be said,who have an opinion and mind of their own and won’t follow the crowd. Lookout for the one’s who are called troublemakers,and look to the one’s who call them troublemakers.

A community has to be based on trust and fair play and equal opportunities for all. For those reading this post ask yourselves this Why is it that the vast majority of community project jobs  given to people who do not live in this community. Now the flipent answer to it ,The best person for the job,what an insult to every body who lives and wants to work in their community.We are in the main puppy dogs to be let off the leash every so often,and made to be thankful for it. Stick it where the monkey stuck his nuts.

As our campaign against workplace bullying intensifies,we are asking whoever takes charge after the May elections, to appoint an elected member to look at the whole issue of workplace bullying and harrassment. Too many little hitlers exist within the city departments,too many jumped up nobodys who inflict pain and suffering on others because they can,and take pleasure in doing it.

We have already demanded a public/community enquirey into the dreadful goings on at the Muirhouse Social Work Centre and again repeat our demand. The public have a right to know who the bullys are and why they are still employed within local government,at the taxpayers expence.

So PiltonSucks says let’s up the anti and expose publicly these thugs who pariste off others and feed on their desire to inflict as much pain as possible. Bullying will never stop unless the city gets to grips with the root of the problem and forces the bullys out into the open. The newspapers will expose them when they are caught why not the council. We have to make it abundantly clear that workplace bullying will not be tolerated,and whenever neccessary the police will be brought in and prosecutions laid.

This city can take a positive position and show the rest of the country that Edinburgh is taking the lead in an anti workplace bullying stance. We have quite rightly a zero tolerance on domestic violence,we should have the same tolerance with workplace bullying and the thugs that revel in it.

Yes friends and readers,no sooner have we said that Greater Piltons streets and roads not to forget it’s blocked drains were a dam disgrace  it is now official. This great capital city of our  has the worst streets and pavements in Scotland. Congratulations to our wonderful City council for gaining such an achievment. Let’s hope you are brave enough to put this travesty in your maifesto and leaflets.

 Once more the peoples party have let us down,pot-holed roads some the size of craters that would give the moon a run for it’s money,and pavements that in some places are down right dangerous. There is no excuse for this disasterous state of affairs,let has hope the voters think so too. Who’s to blame for the roadworks that are clogging up the city,you cannot move for stop signs and diversion signs,and it just gets worst. Is this the punishment the road users get for not voting yes for yet another tax under the guise of a congestion charge.

This lot of so called Labour people are a sham and have become far too complacent,and need a good kick up the ballot papers. It’s time they were out on their ear. They lost the stock transfer vote they lost the congestion vote,they have lost the confidence of the voting public,they have to be removed and others given a chance to try and improve things. We are mortgaged for life with the PPI built schools and will pay several times more than they are worth,who benifits from that,why the construction company of course.

Oh and while we are at it. The people that are supposed to be working on our roads,should put them back properly,not just a thin cheap coating of tar,oh yes we know how they do it and con the taxpayer and rip off the council. Roads collapse because they are laid inadequately with the cheapest of cheap materials,so the roads will not last long and holes will soon develop. We need elected members who know a bit about life and realise they are getting ripped off.

Who approves these road contracters,who inspects the work,does anybody inspect the work,how the hell does it get passed,some of the repairs are just plain shit and a brief look would tell you that. The people of this city have to put up with an awful lot when it comes to our roads and pavements,we should be demanding that someone get a grip and demand that our roads be relaid properly so pot-holes don’t materialise a couple of weeks after they have supposed to have been repaired.

Who is looking after the shop,certainly not our elected members,who seem to allow cowboys to dig up our roads and make a mess of them.Who asked us if they can block off our streets and make a mess of our neighbourhoods. Thats right nobody asked us but we are the ones that suffer. The motorist for all their faults pay massive taxes to use these shity streets the least they can expect is decent roads to drive on instead of playing dodgy with the pot-holes. The same with the pavements, you have to watch were you walk otherwise you may well fall over.

Absolutly disgraceful and the blame lies fair and square on our noble rulers. When will they learn that it is much more expensive to do the job wrong than right. So the millions you are supposed to be spending on upgrading,should be spent on doing the job right the first time. One more thing who allocates the work to these contracters,how do they tender for the work and who sees these tenders,where does the buck stop. Which highly paid index linked official oversees this rubbish and then gets away with it.

We need accountability, we should have all the answers to the points above but we don’t. What’s the reason. Our elected members have a duty to keep us informed,in all certainty they probably don’t know themselves what is going on,and care even less.Or maybe just maybe they are learning from our dear friend and regular sucks reader Bill nowght to do with me/us Fitzpatrick. 

As Tony Blair prepares to stand down as leader of the Labour Party and Prime Minister,he leaves it in the same state as he it found it, a mess. With the party nose diving  in the polls and even their most loyal supporters questioning the partys viability,which way do they go next. Locally Labour have lost their way and many councillors have taken the money and ran.

Dodgy David Cameron the great white hope for the Torries is truely a waste of space with his thin coating of I care Politics he can be easily seen through,but such is the state of the Government both in London and Holyrood,he is seen by some as actually believable. Up here in Scotland the very frightening Andy Bell Goldie the Torries first minister in waiting-and she will be waiting for a very long time- is for want of  better words just plain rubbish,very slightly better than Nicol Stevens the lib-dems lame duck,and not far behind these two chancers is political money bags himself Alex Salmond,whose personal wealth just keeps on going up as he stands yet again for Holyrood-God help us-.

So this is the legacy that Labour leaves us. As Jack my suits are to big for me McConnell is hung out to dry and left to fight the dying Labour cause with ex councillors and party hacks and not to forget the ever resigning Malcolm priciples Chisholm,what must be going through this ex school teachers mind, He might wonder if the the belt should have been banned as we bet he would like to thrash some of his so called comrades. Jack is a lost cause and more and more starts to resemble Robinson Crusoe,alone on a desert island with only hot air for company.

No new ideas,only panic measures and damage limitation exercises as the Labour crown slips and begins its fall from grace. Labour the political voice of the weakest has shown its true colors none more so than the twice disgraced Peter Mandelson who told us all that Labour had no objection to the rich becoming filthy rich,and this from someone who wants or wanted to be seen as the voice of the voiceless.

The flame of the new Labour experiment is all but out,what is left is the tasteless fight between the blairites and the fogs[Friends of Gordons]. The country is left to witness their petty squabbles when neither are now fit to lead the party or be Prime Minister. You are handing power to the Torries who will as they have done before squeeze the poor with a smile on their faces. Iraq,cash for honors,jobs for the boys,and infighting at the top of the tree will sink Labour without trace,and indeed they deserve it. Those who have both locally and nationally hung on to office for too long may feel the wrath of the voter,as scapegoats are sought for the mess that we are plunging into.

There is no excuse nor escape route for those who have either profited or sat back and gone with the flow. the games up you have been rumbled,but we are the losers who will have to pick up the pieces and pay the price.

Has anybody seen lately our soon to be departed provest and community fashion queen Lesley Prada Hinds. It seems she is no-where to be seen,well certainly not down sunny Muirhouse way. We heard a rumour she was last seen in Harvey Nicolls browsing through the exotic lingerie section.

We all miss the happy smiling Auntie Lesley as she meandered her way through the winding pot-holed streets of Muirhouse taking her best pal Betty Stevenson for a walk. So where’s she gone. Off to pastures new perhaps and use her charms on a new set of unsuspecting voters. We think she was ill advised to slope off and try for the Nolan East and Mussleburgh seat,but we are mere observers in this merry go round of selections behind closed doors.

So wherever our Lesley surfaces next it won’t be sunny Muirhouse where her colegate ring of confidence smile lit up the area and her prada high heeled shoes would let you know she was coming and give you time to make your escape. Overall it has to be said that our Lesley wore the chain with some style,certainly far more style than the self styled guru of publicity Eric i’m wonderful Milligan.

Some say she even took the time to talk to the people she represented,now there’s a first,even if she like her bestest pal the ruthless empress Mcginnis surrounded herself with her own disciples who would gasp at her every word. We wonder if she regrets trying to make the great escape from Stalag Muirhouse as it was nicknamed  by some of her Labour comrades. Who knowes,and we can’t find anybody who actually cares,except Betty of course who is having withdrawal symptoms,and on the lookout for a new pal,best of luck Betty you will need it.

We will follow auntie Lesleys political journey as best we can. But after May we will no longer have the immense pleasure she has given us all and in particular the thrift shop in Ferry Road Drive who have benifited from Lesleys cast off designer gear. We may be a very deprived community but some of us are the best dressed thanks to Lesley.

With just 67 days to go until the election extravaganza, and excitement reaching a fever pitch,is our community in a fit state of health to handle all the fun and games to come. Who better to answer that probing question than our new health supremo and community job applicant Dave fatboy Hewitt.

We have a number of suggestions for friend Dave which could help the community get fit for the time of their lives. Firstly a community marathon could be organised so the voters can get physically fit in an attempt to run away from the would be politicians as they approach you in what could be a vain attempt to thrust a leaflet into your hand or try and smother you with kisses. Next we could warn the punters of the evils of the demon drink and tell everyone that Bill nowght to do with me Fitzpatrick will stand all comers a drink if they vote for him and two drinks if they don’t.

Another possible healthy campaign might be to organise the community to run behind a PEP bus as they mill their way round the community,but that might take several communities as there are that many PEP buses on the road. The strongest health campaign might be a poster campaign all over the community,on this poster might read WATCH OUT MALCOLMS ABOUT,this indeed would make the punters run for the hills.

So there are several suggestions for our Dave to be getting on with,that is presuming he can tear himself away from the situations vacant pages of the papers or the internal vacancies booklet.   

One of our newer associates Jane has pointed out to us that Telford College principle Ray joined up Harris should be invited along to one of the community council meetings to tell the members what Telford is doing to enhance the reputation and educational expectations of the community.

Yes indeed,we too think this could be a good idea,as Mr. Harris who likes to read about himself in print could give an up to date picture of the expectations he has,not just for his own career but for those citizens who live within the Greater Pilton community,you know those people who a number of others make their livings off the back of.

We feel that The qualitys that Mr. Harris firmly believes he has should be put to better use. So instead or as well as reading about himself in print,he could come down from his glass tower  walk amongst the plebs and spread the word of how The brand new super duper Telford College can help you on the way to a brighter future.

One of our associates George was walking along West Granton Road This Morning enjoying the peace and tranquilty that a Sunday morning can offer. As he passed the Prentice Centre,his peace and quite was interupted by a vehicle passing by. George looked up from his day-dreaming to find it was a PEP bus fleeing by. Of course the bus was empty apart from the gentleman with the cap on who was driving.

Some minutes later the empty PEP bus was spotted again parked outside the co-op in Crewe Road North. Now George reckoned it took him some 10 minutes to walk from the Prentice Centre to the Co-op[Scotmid] where the van was still parked and still empty. George headed along Boswall Parkway on his way home after his stroll.

We wondered what an empty PEP van[SN04-KFV] was doing at that time in the morning. Since it stopped outside Scotmid could it be that the driver was dashing in for the overpriced Sunday papers. Just a guess,but is that a good use of taxpayers money and services for the elderly.

We hear the bully and his dim witted assistant are still at large and have not yet been brought to book for their crimes. With yet another employee a victim of the bullys behaviour,how much longer can they continue to get away with it. We hear on the grapevine that the Muirhouse Social Work Centre and its actions have reached the ears of the City Council,not before time and a number of eyebrows have been raised at what has been happening there.

Our own Lord Provest who represents the Muirhouse Ward ,we hear is less than pleased with the rumours surrounding what has gone on there. Pilton sucks is calling for an enquiry into the allegations surrounding this dreadful office,and not an internal one either.There is more than enough evidence we understand going back a number of years to suggest bullying and harrassment of employees by the same person under the noses of his seniors,who are either too stupid or too afraid to do anything about it.

We at Pilton Sucks cannot be intimidated or bullied into silence. We are demanding a public enquiry a community public enquiry into the workings of the Muirhouse Social Work Centre. We are told that there will be people queuing up to give evidence.
