Which Way Doth The Wind Blow
As the establishment party in this community, the Labour party begin to sweat and rightly so over their mis-rule in the community, they will have to bring their big guns out to try and bully the voters into submission. No doubt our Malcs will be dusting down his best suit to persuade the voters that Labour deserve another go[surely not] at churning out the same old stuff.
Its tedious in the extreme to listen decade after decade to the same old tired story with a few word changes here and there and a new red ribbon tied to it. We all are well aware that the ruling party is selling off this city as fast as they can leaving a trail of might have beens behind them. No new thinking,no new ideas to benifit the hard pressed citizens, just the same crap different day attitude.
But we have witnessed in recent weeks a number of the comrades taking the money and running,do they know something we don’t. Some still cling on by their fingertips to office, and some like our old friend Waterfront Liz are just plain greedy. We are about to enter a different phase in politics and the established guard are looking past their sell by date. All across the city and here to in Greater Pilton Labour have let the people down and charged them heavily for the pleasure.
Many are sinking in the nightmare of the community charge and if by some fluke Labour are re-elected nothing will change, just pay up and shut up. It was a bad tax when it first was introduced it is worse now with a great number of our citizens struggling to pay this odious tax. The wind recently has changed direction and the breeze of change is beginning to be felt in communities throughout the City. Labour where gifted power by the people and it should have been used in their interests instead of being squandered and abused where a number have feathered their own nests while giving the opposite impression.
No it’s time for a change and one or two more of the ruling elite should have taken the money and ran, instead of trying the patience of the voters one more time. It’s all to play for as the campaigns swing into action and the party machines try and grind you down.
They have taken the voter for granted to often and for to long. We think that the writing may well be on the wall for a number of those who have clung on to long. Come May 4th there may well be a few who wished they had taken the dosh.Â
