Pilton Sucks dotCom

We have been informed by one of the Muirhouse four that he is being thwarted in trying to give evidence against the bully. He has informed us that he is leaving the country for good and wants to tell his story before he goes. We understand from what he has told us that he has been refused his chance to give evidence against the bully,but he has written his statement anyway and given it to Unison.

This is yet another sinister turn of events in this blatent cover up of what is heading towards a cival case. Four victims,one bully, major cover-up.  We understand that three of the victims have been interviewed and one has spoken to the police about the matter. A mountain of evidence we are told exists against the bully yet nothing is done. We have also heard that a daming piece of evidence is in circulation and that it may well be making it’s way to Waverley Court.

The threads of this travesty stretch from Children and Families right through to Criminal Justice and beyond. It is now time to right the wrong,but who has the courage.  

As Gordon Brown prepares to take over from our Tony,the excitement could not be more nerve tingling. Gordon the man who robbed the pension funds of millions of workers is poised to take the reins of power after years of backstabbing his old mate Tony.

He should be careful the same destiny does not await him,as the plotting may have already begun as to who takes over from Brown. Britain now pays more taxes than ever before, the gap between the rich an poor is enormous and we are involved in a war which has gone tits up with no sign of any kind of peaceful progress. Fuel poverty has meant many have had to shiver their way through the winter and to cap it all the odious community charge has caused real misery for many households.

This is Britain today where the rich have done very well and the not so rich have paid the real price of Labour Britain. Historically the poor have always had to pay more than their fair share,but in Britain today this has become the norm. As Labour sucked up to the city slickers they came down hard on the usual sound bites,hammer the scroungers make the dodgers work and pay them shit wages,and take any rights they may have had away from them so they are at the mercy of the tax dodging greedy bastards that Labour are so desperate to cuddle up to.

This is the Britain which Brown has contributed to and now inherits. He has shown through his long complicated boring budgets that he likes the sound of his own voice,but the substance shows a man long run out of ideas and steam just desperate for the keys to number ten. Britains working poor have put their faith in Labour and have been well and truely mugged. Disposable income for the working poor is at an all time low yet the richest percentage of our nation have been handed tax gifts from comrade Brown.

Scotland has made the move away from Labour at local and national level after generations of middle class Labour members telling the rest of us how to live. Labour has long since lost it’s roots and is now just a lifeboat for hangers on and yesterdays people. When Labour should have searched out the best talent regardless of memebership,it relied on the bankrupted process of selection meetings with the turkeys voting for xmas.

Labour lost in Scotland simply because they where complacent,hoping that the voting foder would trundle out and vote for them just as they always have. No-one escaped the frustration of the Scottish voter,and we in Greater Pilton felt the anger of the voter as well. Labour lost the trust of the punters here and when you seen the caliber of the candidates it wasn’t a suprise. We questioned the wisdom of standing two Labour candidates in the Forth Ward,the same two that had not been willing to step aside and allow new  people to come forward with new and different thinking,not with the substancial baggage that these two had.

We all know the result,we hope the citizens of the Forth Ward benifit from the changes,but the Labour party is finished as a force in what was a fortress of Labour domination. The party closed it’s door to anything they did not agree with and have not learned the lesson of an open door policy. The SNP for such a long time a fringe party now have their hands on the controls while Labour winge about who and what is to blame for their demise.

Brown must take note of what happened in Scotland if he is not to suffer the same fate and fall into oblivion at the next election. He has no automatic right to be Prime Minister,the mistake he makes is that he thinks he has. Unless he makes radical changes to the party structure then his stay at Number Ten will be a short one. Pilton Sucks does not expect to see radical changes to the structure of our own local Labour party,indeed if it exists at all.

It will be the same old bland crap with the same old faces back stabbing each other into numbness,and fighting over meaningless resolutions,while the people still pick up the tab of their legacy of expensive mis-rule.

So congratulations Gordon,your honey moon period will be a short one,and the knives will be out very quickly if you do not come up with some original thinking. Many in this country are the poorer for your time as Chancellor and your keeness to snuggle up to the establishment. Long gone for you are the days of radical thinking and a fairer society. Your administration will be at best,sticking plaster Government,proping up policys that have long sinced past their sell by date.

The opinion polls might give you a quick hit,but that will soon fade away as the public begin to realise that the faces might change but everything else remains the same. The one big plus is that Diddy David Cameron is a lightweight and has no clear vision or ideas on which way to take Britain except hammer the poorest and make Brtain a third world economy again. It the Torries manage to make serious ground then it will be at the cost of Labours inability to manage change in the fairest way possible.  

George one of our associates informs us that Royston/Wardieburn held it’s AGM on Tuesday of this week. George tells us that some of the positions have changed hands,and we note with interest that the chairperson has stood down after less than a year in office. The secretary also stepped down and the treasurer as well. We don’t think they all stood down to spend more time with their families,and Pilton  sucks smells an air of mischief making in some of this. We tried contacting a couple of members without luck and it seems no-one is willing to tell us the real reasons for their departures.

We already know that there was real friction at the meeting before the AGM,again we cannot get anyone to comment which tells a story in itself. Royston/Wardieburn community council had been growing in stature in recent months and had taken a high profile in a number of community issues. Therefore it is strange indeed that office bearer roles would change so dramatically when all seemed to be going well,if it’s not broken don’t fix it.

We feel there is a lot more to this than meets the eye and we would not be suprised to learn that a certain councillor had her sticky fingers all over this,since according to her own blog site she seemed less than enthusiastic about the council. Could it be that sour grapes where in order as she was not getting the limelight.

We hope Royston/Wardieburn Community Council continues to do well,let us all hope that the sticky fingers of local politics can be kept out of it.

For those wishing more hot gossip and dirty tactics by your favourite local council,there is now a new addition to Pilton sucks and Edinburgh sucks,it’s called LEITH SUCKS.NET -So as we spread our wings and inform the public about what is really going on in their name Leith sucks.net will take up the batton and join us in exposing corrupt practices and dodgy behaviour,and of course take a rhy look at the in’s and out’s of life in the fast lane of sunny Leith.

As Labour continues to lick it’s wounds after a mauling at the polls,we hear locally that personal abuse is being thrown around by a certain Councillor Macginnis. Now fortunatly out of power she has according to what we are told resorted to blaming and accusing community activists of all sorts of nonsense instead of having a good look in the mirror,and realising her behaviour over the years has resulted in her now being just a laughing stock and a figure of fun,and that comes from one of her inner circle,see how the rats leave the sinking ship.

We at Pilton Sucks see the bigger picture and leave the petty crap to the small minded. This community now may just have a chance to breath now the sweaty hands of greed are no longer on the tiller. There is much to be done and we await with interest to see if the new elected reps are up to the job. Labour now have no say in how this community develops and that’s good news. They  of course still try to impose their will but it means nothing as their time is up and they have been found out.

We on the Pilton Sucks team rejoice that we have a chance to get things moving and the days of the old pals act is over, and we remind our readers if they try and surface again we will publish who they are and how they have benifitted from corrupt Labour rule. We know every single person and project that has received favours in return for  licking Labour ass,and we are watching you like hawks. Jobs for patronage grants for asslicking,all this and more has been the legacy of Labour rule,where a few have gained personally and we know who they are, where local projects have grown out of all proportion certainly far more than they warrent, and where pals of Lizzie have secured their own jobs while puting a democratic face on it.

So in reality it is the community that should be up in arms not some washed up councillor whose sell by date was up a long time ago and is living on the embers of what might have been……if only….. 

Not long into a new Edinburgh City administration with the windows open and the smell of corrupt Labour politics, now part of all the other smells floating out the window,an opportunity presents itself for open up front decision making involving the communities of Edinburgh.

Well that’s the positive spin. the reality a few weeks into coalition rule,the jury’s still out.Pilton sucks felt before the election that Labour’s days where numbered they had cosied up to officials who where perceived to be running the city,and had lost all interest in listening to the eletorate. Those Labour councillors who where returned most of whom had been a part of shambolic Labour administration,now have to build again. Little or no new faces,no new ideas, no new thinking of any kind,just blame the nearest person for their own downfall.

The people lost faith and many beleived they had become far to much like the desperate Tory party,and look what has happened to them. It’s a great shame that more of these shifty bunch where not booted out,some of them only survived by the skin of their teeth,and still they don’t get the message. The Labour party was and should always be the peoples party not a private club where ruling is a devine right.

Our own Labour party Edinburgh and North Leith lost it’s way a long time ago but still refuse to change their ways. They where badly wounded in the elections and should now get rid of the dead wood. Get out into the community and encourage those who have the talent that you so obviously lack to take a role in re-building the party.

If not we confidently predict that come the general election We won’t have a Labour MP regardless of how he try’s to be all things to all people. Even he knowes that and he must be a worried man if all he’s got is what’s left,and that’s just pityful. The day’s of standing with a red monkey suit on is long over,and the people want more. Labour’s majority is wafer thin and it is there for the taking.

What’s the answer. Well it certainly isn’t sitting on your hands hoping people will come out and push leafleats through doors,or surrounding yourself with yesterday’s thinkers. The community revolution should already have started,but it’s stuck in the traps. No Mark if you want to win next time forget the bullshit and get your clean hands dirty. Try mixing with the punters get a feel for whats going on. Silly news letters won’t win a seat they just keep the dwindling faithful happy.

But we suspect nothing will change,the usual blast of hot air will come then nothing. When Labour get leathered they usually organise a conference to they say, listen and learn and get ideas from people and act on them. Complete crap these conferences won’t have any of the public there just the same old boring farts talking shit and passing meaningless resolutions. It’s a tried and failed method it dosen’t work it never has. So have your conference get rid of some of the bad blood but while you are doing that Edinburgh’s answer to the town jester Jenny Dawe will still be sitting around wondering how to make a decision, without upsetting her party.

The voters will soon wake up to the fact that she ranks amongst the most useless politicians on the planet,but while Labour are busy looking up their own backsides and blaming everybody but themselves,this allows the indecisive Ms. Dawe to look half decent. The LibDems are just an excuse for a political party,fleeting opportunists,can anybody say that they came up with an original idea during the election. Of course not,good at pinching other’s ideas and running with them but once in power clueless to know what to do.

Does Labour have the right people or the energy to start again,that must be in serious doubt,certainly Labour need some radical restructuring  here in the Forth Ward,do they have the personel to carry out the mamoth task of rebuilding trust. Pilton sucks thinks not but we hope we are wrong. Labour was hi-jacked by those with a self interest some time ago,and they still have a grip although it is slipping but like cornered rats they will go for the throat if threatened.

While these people have any kind of sway with the party,the same people that close the door in talents face then locally and nationally the party is doomed. Pilton Sucks is convinced  the creaky doors with their rusty hinges of the Labour party must be thrown open to all who wish to take part not just a few crusty card carrying members who are just there to part with money when the begging bowl comes round.

A fresh front is needed desperatly needed and the party taken back from those who have had to long a free ride. The peoples party it was and must become again if electoral success is to be had once more. As the years in the wilderness come and go many of those who have draged the Labour party down with their greed and self interest will depart we hope sooner rather than later,and the party can start to breath again.

This has to happen otherwise what was once a great political movement will play second fiddle to the Jenny Dawe’s of this world. 

Take a walk along Market Street till you reach the new sanitised council offices,and right at the front door is the bargain of the year a meaningless figure perched high up on a dodgy looking platform. £100,000 of taxpayers money wasted on this piece of shit,and not original shit either,it appears that this delightful piece of artwork was acquired from Hamburg,as it closely resembles a figure that was floating in Hamburg Harbour.

Joe public it is not, a passing wit remarked if you put a torn up Labour Party card in it’s hands at least that would give the plebs a laugh. It may be worth while putting it up for auction on E-Bay but don’t put a reserve on it you will frighten the bidders off. Of course once inside this 21st century office block you can get a real sense of Edinburgh’s history. You get your own personal ID card which you can hang round your neck and look stupid this allows the sleeping security guards to inspect it and make sure you are not an international terrorist looking to nick the flat screen TV hanging on the wall.

There is no rhyme or reason for this building except you can look at your colleague reading the racing form or picking their nose,the toilets are probably open plan and if you can read urdu then you can find out where the flush is. What actually goes on in this building is a mystery so having a meaningless statue outside kind of sums it up.

We thought it more appropriate to have a sculpture of an ex Labour councillor and we have the very chap in mind standing high on a platform bent over with his trousers at his ankles mooning at the punters and a twenty grand cheque in his hand,he would represent what all politicians thought of the punters,at least we could all have a laugh and go to work happy and smiling. But at the very least we should comission an Edinburgh artist who could then audition candidates assuming the pose. We can certainly think of one or two asses that would fit the bill,we are sure the public could to. 

It has come to our attention in the last 48 hours that one of the Muirhouse four who volunteered to come forward and give an eye witness detailed statement of abusive behaviour at Muirhouse Social Work Centre is amoung a number of eye witnesses who them selves have suffered at the hands of the Muirhouse Social Work Centre serial bully.

Senior Management at the caring sharing Health and Social Care department are now acutely aware that there is a serious problem at this centre which has to be addressed. But instead of clearing up this mess there is a deliberate attempt to try and brush it under the carpet,in a clear move to try and deflect their own shortcomings over this travesty.

There is now as we understand to much evidence against this bully for them to do nothing,and we are also told although we cannot confirm this that there is further evidence which Unison may have which if correct could possibly warrent police investigation. There are strong rumours of an incident as recently as April involving the bully and one of his victims,we are not sure if the department or the City Council is aware of this piece of evidence,but the rumours as we say are very strong and we are convinced are true.

What this tells us without knowing the full extent of the evidence is that intimidation has taken place while a so-called investigation was going on. This is totally unacceptable and potentially puts one or more of the victims at risk of physical harm. What kind of organisation tolerates this kind of behaviour,Pilton Sucks deplores what is intimidation by stealth,we believe that if these rumours are accurate then this evidence must be brought forward with urgency and the victim be offered protection.

Pilton sucks and sister site Edinburgh Sucks are astonished and angry that intimidation  by stealth caused by senior managements lack of taking any kind of action against a common thug encourages behaviour that may have put a victim at risk. If Unison or anybody else has this evidence then we ask that it be handed to the proper authorities so appropriate action can be taken.

This has now gone beyond several employees suffering at the hands of a serial bully,the mark has been overstepped and intimidation has been used. It will be more than interesting to see what senior management do now if this evidence is put before them.

Friends and readers,a little birdie tells us that there is a bit of a shindig at the West Pilton Neighbour hood Centre on Friday 8-06-07.Dress is informal and by word of mouth invitation only. Bring your own wine as Craigmillars was all drunk last time. Nobody from pilton sucks has been invited or anybody from edinburgh sucks,it seems just the usual suspects are welcome.

No fancy dress is required but one or two may be dressed as grapes,the sour variety. Even one or two of the local Labour party have not been invited,but after all there is only one or two. We at pilton sucks like a good do, or wake depending on circumstances,and we hope it is a pleasant occasion. We have to say it’s a great shame not everybody that should be invited will be invited,but there you go. You either have a mind of your own or you are a sheep, it might be an idea to stop looking through rose coloured spectacles and realise that the host of this little party was shafted by the very people who he most admires the two gremlins who got re-elected Prada Hinds and Empress Macginnis who together claimed more than £70,000 pounds in expences over the past year.

It’s hard work looking after the punters but very lucretive for these two chancers. Surely they should have thrown a proper party for their fallen comrade after all it was those two that tried to toss him off the party ticket first time round,and you know the biggest laugh he knowes it to. Our friend and regular sucks reader Bill Baillie knew early on these two witches where secretly trying to dump him.

But we wish our friend and regular sucks reader Billy boy a happy retirement after a long number of years sliding up and down the greasy pole of politics. If it is any consolation to our mucker,the current opinion or what many local punters are saying,is that the wrong Labour candidate won,and we all have four more years to suffer her,although she no longer has any power base left,that won’t stop her thinking she still rules the roost.

So when you raise your glass to toast the assembled punters remember,there may be a couple there who tried to shaft you some time ago,shaking your hand and saying what a good lad you are. There may be one or two punters who are not there that should be there and that’s a shame,but never mind. Now you have more time on your hands you could contribute to pilton sucks,we are always on the look out for local talent,in fact you may get a visit asking if you would like to be on our new management committee.

We have a chair,secretary, and treasurer,but we need someone to take accurate minutes,we wouldn’t want anybody challenging or trying to amend them would we?So we have a vacancy at the moment so hurry up or someone else might snap it up. We appreciate that you may have many good offers like that and you could be spoilt for choice.

Give it a thought,in the mean time have a nice time at your final surgery,and remember the enemy within,they may come bearing gifts and platitudes,but they are not your friends they are the shafters you are the one that was shafted.

We reported to you recently about rumours of discontent surrounding Royston/Wardieburn Community Council. Well we tried to find out what was going on but we had no luck as no one was prepared to talk to us. But information is beginning to leak out,and it seems that none other than Councillor [came in last] Macginnis launched a verbal attack on the council.

It appears if our information is correct that she was ranting and raving about something that appeared on a website. Strong language was used and we are told but we cannot confirm this that a personal attack was made on the chairperson. We have since read the councillors own blog site and it looks like she has lost the plot. She attacks at least three members of the council,when it is her duty as councillor to do her best to support the council. We have always suspected Ms. Macginnis is a Tory in disguise and her latest rants on her blog where she attacks former members of the Labour Group-we notice she did not attack them when they where in office- more or less confirms this.

This fallen councillor is a disgrace and should not be holding office,she is not fit to do so,by attacking community activists she smears the party she is supposed to represent. If this information is correct and we strongly believe it is,she should be reported to the standards comission for conduct unbecoming of an elected member.

We would like to see her try these type of antics with the other community councils and see how far she gets. The fact that she tried to put her own people in as office bearers when the community council originated and it fell flat on it’s face has stuck in her throat for some time,and the first opportunity she got she tried to stick the knife in. Pilton sucks is aware that Ms Macginnis has on purpose tried to finger local activists as authors/owners of Pilton Sucks,we will let her play her little game but she is so far from the truth of what this site is all about it’s laughable.

We and everybody else should be concerned that a local councillor is running wild and stark raving bonkers, making false allegations and attacking activists on a community council. As we understand community council meetings are open to the public, so anybody can come along,so who’s to say who’s talking to who. If it is this hard to get information from what went on and/or people are to intimidated to talk,and we tried and failed to get anybody to talk to us,what does that tell you about the way things are being run.

Ms Macginnis is yesterday’s politician and what we are witnessing is the dying embers of what is left. A bitter and twisted individual who blames everybody but her self.
