PEP’S Deafening Silence And The Murky Merger.

Friends and readers. This letter was found by Helen our roving reporter during the week.

To quote more than one or two leading members of the community on PEP’s failure to make any sort of reply to my letter in August’s NEN challenging their claims in the previous month’s, NEN

Unfortunately for Mrs Maginnis, Mrs Garden and certain member’s of PEP’s Management Committee burying their heads in the sand and clinging on to their posts when caught out misleading the community, referring agencies and what appears to be the Office of Scottish Regulator is not going to work in your favour.

As the above mentioned were not willing to take my advice and do the honourable thing and step down a section of PEP staff have again contacted OSCR and the Health and Social Care Department with irrefutable documentary evidence that Elizabeth Maginnis lied to nearly 40 statutory and voluntary agencies regarding staff’s “appropriate” qualifications to the detriment of the most vulnerable in our community and other gross professional misconduct being carried out by PEP’s management.

I and many other’s are disgusted with PEP management, one in particular who took satisfaction in terminating and forcing staff/volunteer’s to resign though when it comes down to their own positions, in the face of  irrefutable proof are quite prepared to cling on to their own positions, having exposed PEP’s employee’s dispute to the media and drag their own projects reputation through the dirt at the risk to the project and it’s services to the community.

A section of PEP’s staff were also disgusted by Malcolm Chisholm’s speech at PEP’s last AGM congratulating PEP on their “trail blazing” work in challenging attitudes to mental health etc knowing he had received a copy of the “Document” of their concerns stating his only role now is to be a “champion of the people”

The authorities have been given a second chance to take action to ensure our services to the vunerable are being run correctly and to their optimum levels. If they fail us again then it’s up to the community to act, being fully informed,to demand why no action is being taken.

If the community does not act then we will always be burdened by third rate or less councillors and politicians but more tragically third-rate services for the most vunerable in our community will always burden us.

It’s time for people to join us and stand up for what is right in this community.

Well there you have it friends and readers the letter NEN would not print but Helen our own reporter did. The cloud which hangs over this very well funded project continues to darken with as you have read staff more than unhappy about the management of the project. Helen also found out that the same Mrs. Garden was also chair of the former Six Circle project but during the so called merger with PEP could not be contacted.

Helen also noted, that in contradiction to Elizabeth Maginnis’s assertions”nobody is more aware than she of the various conflicts of interest and that she is scrupulous in observing the necessary legal protocols.

Well it did not seem she had any scruples when the interim Manager of the Muirhouse Six Circle Project sought assistance from the Pilton Partnership of which she was Chairperson at the time. No sooner than he sought assistance from the Partnership to save the Six Circle Project than Ms. Maginnins was plotting to carve it up as part of her empire building.

Irene Garden lapdog to Ms. Maginnis had previously recommended PEP’s administrator TRISH LAING to be seconded to Six Circle to assist the previous manager with his paperwork, this individual was MORE than interested in Six Circle business and breached Six Circle’s confidentiality by feeding this information back to Ms. Maginnis.

After Six Circle’s manager had resigned and Six Circle’s Management Committee had voted to carry on running the project,at a later date Irene Garden-who had previously been a senior member of PEP’s Management Committee-proposed a merger with PEP

Shortly after this at another Six Circle Management Committee meeting Irene Garden was informed the interim manager had been running a campaign to save the Six Circle project and she was not happy.

Helen has uncovered with the help of our digger George more about this so called merger and the role played in it by an employee of the Pilton Partnership.

Watch this space.

interesting reading . I would like to know how McGinnis gets away with this behaviour within our community. She has alraedy threatened a resident with legal action because she exposed her husband and the manager of Pilton Partnership havindg a consultancy business within the Waterfront development. Time and again she gets away with raping our community.
