Good Start

Friends and readers. Royston/Wardieburn Community Council held their open forum on Wedensday 19th march in the Royston/Wardieburn Community Centre.

We are told that it went well and those that attended enjoyed the event. Local issues were on the agenda and it seems a number of concerns where raised. This is a good start and begins to build momentum for this Community Council as they bed in and get to grips with issues as they arise.

Pilton Sucks applauds this inititive which can only help bring the Community Council closer to the area and people they hope to serve. One minor concern which is not of this Community Councils making, was the lack of attendance from any of the other local Community Council members.

There may well be good reasons why no-one from any other Council attended, but we believe that unity is one of the keys to success. Success breeds success and we must all support each other as we strive to improve this Community, and make it a better place to live and work in.
