Community Moral

Friends and readers. We in the Forth Ward will feel the coming economic storm much the same as many other deprived communities will. There is little real impact we can have and moral will understandably be tested.

During what will be stormy waters we still have more that unites us than divides us,and that is our strength. The old pals act has been booted out but the remnant’s remain and will fight hard to maintain their loosening grip. What is a tiny minority will cling to the past by a more two faced approach, which presents as willing to move forward but only on their terms.

It is clear splits will appear as the old guard move to crush rebellion by keeping their place people on side with a nod and a wink. We are running a fun competition at the moment but it has a sinister side to it. One obvious way that the old guard can continue to carry on is to breach confidentiality,an old method of control one that is designed to frighten those with minds and opinions of their own.

We would say this is a no win situation, for both parties and a truce be called before it gets out of hand, otherwise open warfare will result in the old guard vanishing which is no bad thing but leaving behind wounds that will be difficult to heal and at a time when the very survival of this community should be a priority.

The election aftermath has left a sour taste in some peoples mouths but the writing had been on the wall for a long time before that. The old guard feared for their positions of favour once their pals had been booted out,and this has caused unnecessary bad feeling amongst those that should know better. misinformation and down right lies have spread like wild fire and the real issues have been put to one side.

Pilton Sucks was a creation of those that felt enough was enough and the secrecy and old pals act who had run this community had to go. Now we have the aftermath where the old guard refuse to let go and will sink the ship and everybody on it regardless. What even the clever clogs amongst us seem to forget is that politics is a strange business and things can change quickly. What is in vogue today can be changed tomorrow as events change.

The old pals act had a good run for the taxpayers money, now they have to come to heel or we all pay the price.
