Alive and Kicking
Friends and readers. From reports we have received it would appear that movement on a new centre for Royston/Wardiburn is imminent.
As you all know this Centre in Pilton Drive North is in desperate need of a make over and debate has swung backward and forward on the best way to approach it.
Pilton Sucks as you know is a pragmatic creature and realises that money is tight and therefore dosen’t expect miracles.
But we are assured that both Councillors Elaine Morris and Steve Cardownie have been arguing furiously that this centre needs attention and quickly. We are also aware that Councillor Morris is determined that she will not be pushed around on this issue and we give her full credit for that.
The two obvious methods as we see of going about this task are. 1] Some sort of refurbisment,or 2] step by step demolition and rebuild allowing the centre to at least carry on the excellent work it does.
What does not help is interference by some who have another agenda. It has come to our notice that a member of the Management Committee was bullied into talking about Management Committee business while attending one of the clubs, by an employee of the city who works in the centre.
if true this is not on and action is necessary to prevent this sort of nonsense going on.
We are shocked that bully tactics are being used to push for some sort of warped alternative agenda. We advise all Management Committees everywhere to be watchful that you are not pressed into decisions by those that have other interests in mind.
If Pilton Sucks finds evidence that bullying has taken place we will demand that Senior Manager Mike Rosendale take action to prevent it happening again unless he wants to find his own head on the chopping block.
We would urge Royston/Wardieburn Management Committee to make up their own minds on issues, take advice but don’t be bullied.
