Friends and readers. We can all rest easy now that we have a new speaker of the Commons,double that with the fact that the Torries didn’t want him then that must be a plus.

This now proven den of thieves have to do a lot more than elect a new speaker if we are to have our faith renewed in this cradle of democracy.

To serve others is a great honour,and one which comes with great responsibility.

Our elected members have abused that honour and disregarded their responsibility to gratify their own greed.

Edinburgh who returned Chancer Darling,Shagger Griffiths, and  Barbecue Lazarovicz will have some hard thinking to do come the Election.

Do we re-elect these three,or do we do the right thing and toss them out of office and into the real non-expenced world. the later we hope.

Griffiths looks a dead duck in Edinburgh South and we will be supporting independent candidate John Wallace to help that along. Darling and Lazarovicz are hanging by a thread and instead of talking to their constituents,they listen to a bunch of armchair socialists in their constituency parties.

Big mistake. They showed no loyalty to their punters by helping themselves to public cash,so they cannot expect loyalty in return.

No amount of leaflets or poster laden paste tables outside shops will get these two cheeky chapies re-elected.

But we do have one constructive suggestion,why not call public meetings in their various constituencies and explain their innocence to the voters,see if the excuse of ,we didn’t break the rules cuts any ice with the punters in Pilton or the well heeled in Central.

Fraid not but you never know. The days of Labour packing public meetings is a thing of the past,and it would appear unlikely that these two would face the public without an army of lackies to protect them.

Down here in sunny Forth there is a wealth of experience and suprise suprise some of them are not Labour Party Lackies, has comrade Lazarowicz asked any of them for advice,unlikely the Party hacks would not like that he might hear some home truths.

If our honourable MP had any sense, he would seek out privately some advice on how to run the upcoming campaign,instead of keeping his fingers crossed and hoping he is the lesser of the evils on offer.

Nope that won’t work either. Pilton Sucks is not in the business of giving advice to greedy politicians,but we don’t want to kick Markie boy when he is down,the weather will do that for him as he wonders when his next barbecue and white wine do will be.           

Friends and readers. It seems right at this moment the future of our Nation rests on whether a tennis ball is in or out.

While Andy Murray strives to become the first Brittish/Scottish winner of Wimbledon in god knowes how long and the English press cutely supports him while waiting for him to collapse,we wish him well in his quest to make modern history.

No doubt if he should achieve this he will be showered with honours of various natures,if a cyclist can get a knighthood then who knowes,we might all wake up the morning after a Murray win to find he has been made an Archbishop.

No matter what honour he receives in what is so clearly now a devalued system,he is a sports person of great talent and a fine example of achievment in a cut throat sport.

Scotland has something to cheer about this coming week hopefully all the way to the final where the bookies say he will face the immovable force that is Federer. 

The walls of Jerrico were brought down in a cascade of noise,this time coupled with a racket and ball Murray may yet bring down the rarified and class walls of Wimbledon.   

Friends and readers. We still await a public appology from PEP for the threats made to a member of the FSF funding panal at the recent Forth Neighbourhood Partnership meeting.

As this Community moves forward with much needed change a pocket of resistance to change still remains,now resorting to threats and intimidation.

Pilton Sucks would be the first to speak up if these changes were not fair and above board,but in our opinion they are and very much needed,if we are not to remain in the dark ages.

We are as reported the only Neighbourhood Parnership that has all 5 action groups Community lead,and that’s got to be good news regardless of which side of the political fence you sit on.

As a Community whose history is steeped in one of campaigning,we should use that experience to make the argument for change not to replying to it.

What started as the Pilton Community Association has grown in stature,knowledge and experience,but the big failing was it’s inability to cross political divides,remaining firmly in the Labour Party pocket.

Many of our residents who may have wanted to get involved in their Community structures were put off by this mentality,and our Community suffered for it.

By firmly siding with a single political party this allowed tactics of an unsavoury nature to be used at will,using the blanket cover of democracy as an excuse for overall control of anything that moved.

Thankfully we have moved on a bit,but more is needed if we are to truely become a mature thinking Community with minds of our own willing to sit at the table of discussion,instead of trying to kick it over.

No-one whoever they are and whatever beliefs or opinions they hold should be subjected to threats and intimidation,that is just shameful and a disgrace.

So let us be fair,if the person who made the threats cares to appologise to the panal member along with the organisation he so clearly is a part of,then that will be that.

If that is not deemed suitable then it’s out of our hands and has to go to the next stage.

When oh when will we learn,nothing gets done if we threaten to try and bring the house down upon our heads,that way can only end in tears,let us learn from our mistakes,we can only be the better for it.

Friends and readers. A number of our readers have asked us to name the two thugs who abused staff at the notorious Social Work Centre in Muirhouse.

We were told their names by service users and members of staff some time ago. Our friends over at Edinburgh Sucks found out the same way.

We are nothing if not fair minded people and so to protect the very guilty we have not given out the two names to date.

But should those charged to deal with this kind of thugish behaviour that these two scumbags dealt out to others,continue to do nothing about this situation,then we won’t have to name and shame,the Community will do that for us with a little help from others of course.

The clock is ticking.

Friends and readers. We seem to live in a world dominated by the cult of celebrity,from Z list television cooks,right through the looking glass spectrum to the ultimate in this spectator sport,the tragic figure that was Micheal Jackson.

No question the music that he produced was genius driven,and his collaboration with producer Quincy Jones topped it off, but behind all that,and often played out in full public view was the tormented soul of an isolated individual.

All the excesses were there to see,lavish spending,the dreadful plastic surgery, alledged drug abuse,and of course the hangers on who surrounded him.

Played out in front of the world we watched an exploited child move to adult hood and into the clutches of the movers and shakers of the music world whose only goal is their profit line and dam the concequences.

The talent that Jackson appeared to have at his fingertips and that gave pleasure to millions worldwide was ruthlessly exploited by the music moguls and the industry they control.

Jackson is a victim,a high profile victim who was used and abused to feather the beds of those who called themselves friends,and he paid the ultimate price.

Watching the wall to wall coverage yesterday we had the ultimate hanger on telling all of his great love of Jackson and all he represented. Uri Geller whose only claim to fame was that he could bend spoons,and someone who has lived off that trick for a generation was quick to mouth off about his close friendship with the singer.

Now Geller is a con-man so what does that tell us. We are left now with just the legacy of some great music put together by a man whose all to tragic life was lived out before us until his premature death.

The cult of celebrity is a dangerous one which builds an individual up into some sort of god like person and then sets about destroying them.

Take a good look around,and witness the crap that surrounds us in this celebrity driven age. Everything from no talent reality show contestants to self important vastly over paid TV presenters who think the world revolves around them.

So many of these characters they are to numerous to mention,all feeding off vulture like from the same carcase.

We would not even mention their names for fear of publicising theses prats even further.

It is painful to think that these wasters will jump on anything that will push them further into the spotlight,and jumping on Jackson was the ultimate ego trip.

So what and who lead to the death of this one off musical icon. Was it a piece of self destruction?very possibly so,but when we finally get the true story and that’s if we ever do,there will be a list of culprits who fed off Jackson,but will have very quickly moved on to the next victim.

It is much more likely that his death will be reported as  one of an accidental nature possibly with the aid of a cocktail of different barbiturates.

But as Micheal Jackson awaits his final resting place,the record sales will rocket and the money will roll in. So even as their victim lies dead these vultures who fed off him while he was alive will continue to do so,until the public move on.

Friends and readers. Pilton Sucks has tripped over a copy of an internal memo regarding the continuing bullying scandal that has engulfed the Social Work Centre in Muirhouse.

It certainly is an eye opener,saying that no comment of any kind is to be made regarding this issue.

Clearly the cover up goes on,but we believe this position is not sustainable as cracks have already appeared as the leaks we have received confirm.

Undoubtably the press are on standby for what could be a major scandal given the numbers involved both in victims abused and those invoved in the cover up.

Pilton Sucks whose contacts are wide and ranging have information suggesting the story could break soon as the jigsaw nears completion.

When the floodgates open the demand that an open independent investigation into the bullying scandal will, we believe become to strong to resist.

The obvious question to ask will be,why did it take so long?

Friends and readers. Since we revealed that a member of the Fairer Scotland Funding Panal was threatened and intimidated for asking questions about a funding application from PEP,many more readers have expressed their disgust and anger that this incident took place some asking what action is to be taken over this un-called for outburst.

Answer we don’t know,yet. It seems PEP has gone to ground over this and may yet incur the wrath of Muirhouse Community Council who are being blamed for this mess. That dosen’t wash as we understand the threats were made directly to the panal member concerned,simply because he dared to ask a question or two over a funding application.

Pilton Sucks insists that PEP make a public appology over this incident,and their attendance at any future Neighbour Partnership meetings be refused.

If people cannot ask questions or speak freely within reason on a particular subject without feeling threatened or intimidated,they we enter once again sinister waters.

This type of behaviour was all to visible with the previous administration,unless you followed the party line then you were an outcast and rubbished as a trouble maker.

We do not want a return to the Labour bully boy tactics which ruled for so long in this Community. If PEP are allowed to get away with this type of threatening and intimidating behaviour then we are making a return to the past and nobody but the few want that. 

Friends and readers. We are delighted to tell you that today we passed our 40,000th hit on  Pilton Sucks.

We have been nation wide for just over a year and in that time we have received comments and posts from all over the country.

Ironically the 40,000th hit came late last night on the subject of workplace bullying. A Criminal Justice Social worker who spent some time at the notorious Social Work Centre in Muirhouse,and now works within another District,told us that he was aware of bullying within the Communiy Service Team,as were a number of others,but nobody in a senior position wanted to do anything about it.

Having followed our expose of this scandal,he decided to talk to Pilton Sucks as long as we kept his identity secret,as he was all to aware that he may get singled out for telling the truth.

We of course will do, that as all our contributors remain anonymous. He told us that on several occasions he witnessed abusive behaviour towards at least three members of staff but there could have been more.

When he moved to another District most of his new colleagues already new what was going on and knew who the culprits were.

This does not suprise us as we to already knew that what was happening at this Centre in Muirhouse was widely known about.

We thank our new reader for this information,which confirms,if confirmation were needed that several members of staff suffered serious abusive behaviour while working in the Community Service Group in Muirhouse.

This,now clearly warrants what Pilton Sucks has been demanding for some time,a full independent outside investigation into serious allegations of serial bullying and harassment.

Once again we call on Director Mr. Gabbitas to do the right thing and root out the bullys and remove them from the workplace.

Friends and readers. Our post bag had to be shut down for a little while yesterday due to the interest that our post on the threats and intimidation made to a member of the FSF funding panal by a PEP member.

Our post generated huge feedback,most of which made their feelings clear about any kind of threat or intimidation made to individuals whoever they may be.

PEP has some serious questions to answer,and we are sure that the Muirhouse Community Council will be unhappy that PEP is blaming them for this person’s outburst.

We now understand that these comments were made to the panal member after the meeting had closed,so we find it hard to believe that it formed any kind of representation from a Community Council.

Our readers were in the main disgusted that this happened with many justifiably saying that,no wonder people are put off being active in their Community if this sort of behaviour is allowed to go on.

We hope the panal member concerned takes action over this matter and if our post bag is anything to go by then the panal member concerned has a lot of support.

The manager of PEP and the chair of it’s management Committee are in hot water which may boil over if they take no action other than try to ignore it or make up some flimsy excuse.

Pilton Sucks heard of this matter in the playground of Royston Primary School from a parent who has now decided not to bother being active in her Community if this sort of behaviour is going on.

She herself saw what went on and she to felt intimidated.

Once again Pilton Suck’s and now a growing number of residents want a public appology made to the panal member concerned and action taken against the person who made the threats. The panal member has every justification to inform the police and in our opinion should do.

Every fair minded person will deplore this kind of behaviour which was intended to unquestionably frighten this member into saying or doing nothing about any application PEP makes for funding.

Pilton Sucks say’s,this is a well funded Community project which has grown far to large and needs the funding to sustain it’s position. Now that this and other projects have to justify their funding,they don’t like it,as previously they just put their hands out and got it.

Questions must be asked of funding applications,and in his case it would appear that PEP had the cheek to ask for £300 pounds for transport costs which we understand was only a part of their application,when they have as someone said to Pilton Suck’s ”more buses on the road than LRT”.

Friends and readers. From our postbag it is clear that there is a growing number who support our demand for an outside independent investigation into abuse of staff at the infamous Social Work Centre in Muirhouse.

Amongst those growing numbers are staff members past and present who have told us of serial bullying by two employees of this Centre,who up to now have got off scot free.

One of the thugs is still employed within this Centre and we have had confirmation that the other,and former Hibs casual is employed in a position of authority at Dalkeith Social Work Centre.

This is indeed frightening,that a jobsworth bully is in a position to continue to abuse staff,given the fact that we have been told that this cowardly thug has a serious anger problem which results in physical threats to staff,two of whom have spoken to Pilton Sucks outlining the threats made to them by this thug.

The two members of staff reported these threats so they will be a matter of record,and still this thug is allowed to supervise vunerable people, simply crazy.

We understand from our source at Waverley Court that the Centre in Muirhouse has come under closer scrutiny,it’s not scrutiny it wants but a warts and all investigation making public just what has happened to staff at this Centre.

One national Newspaper this week outlined the failure of the current Community Service system, this is brought clearly into vision when we are told that the two bullys in question are a former painter and decorator and a brickie,with no qualifications what so ever in working with vunerable people.

This has been carefully hidden by those that should have at the very least suspended these two when suspicions first arose about the abuse of staff.

Pilton Sucks is disgusted that vunerable people were put at risk by inadequate management at this Centre coupled with bullying of staff.

One former employee of the Community service unit in Muirhouse now happily working in another area,told Pilton Sucks this week,and we quote ” these two idiots made other members of staff lives a misery just to satisfy their own sense of importance. One lead the other by the nose almost good cop bad cop routine,that’s how stupid they were,i’m glad to be out of there and i feel sorry for anybody that has to work anywhere near them”

Why oh why were staff put through this misery when we are told it was known to senior managers at the then office in Shrub Hill that there was ”quote” ’staff issues at this Centre’

This is a long way from being resolved,as long as bullying is allowed to go on unpunished,then staff at risk will continue to suffer. As long as a bully remains in post a green light is given to their behaviour.

Senior managers and we know who they are including retired manager Don Millar knew bullying was going on,knew there was a problem and had received a number of complaints regarding abusive behaviour,hid their heads in the sand hoping this scandal would go away.

Pilton Sucks and a growing number of others won’t let it go away. Employees have a right to feel safe at their place of work, but as long as we have jobsworth bully’s in the workforce then there will be no safety in the workplace.
