Bully Watch

Friends and readers. You will remember that we asked you to keep an eye out or ear open for bullies in the greater Pilton community. Well suprise, suprise a number of people have come forward voicing their concerns about what has been going on at Muirhouse Social Work Centre. And, lo and behold, a former employee has contacted us to say that he to was bullied and as he put it forced out the door by the MUIRHOUSE BULLY.

That is in itself a sad reflection of what has been going on at the Muirhouse Social Work Centre. We do not have the words that would reflect our disgust at this type of behaviour, only to repeat what a senior manager told us, that he would kick ass if this type of behavior was found out to be going on.

Well sir what more do you need to take action, we will happily furnish you with the persons name and details and you can take it from there. We await contact

A Sorry Tale

Friends and Readers. you are now well aware that PiltonSucks.com is actively running an anti-workplace bullying campaign, and its effects on the victims. As you know we have been covering as best we can the case of the MUIRHOUSE TWO who were bullied into submission by the Muirhouse Social Work Centre Criminal Justice Bully.

We are sorry to say that it has been reported to us, we have to tell you that this was a message passed to us from Shrubhill, so we have no evidence to support it, that one of the MUIRHOUSE TWO is suffering from severe depression as a result of what he experienced at Muirhouse Social Work Centre. We, if this is true are deeply saddened to report this.

When we tried to contact him we were told he would be unable to speak with us such was his state of mind at present.  We are shocked and angered that The Social Work Department must know about this and have as yet not brought the bully to justice. What has to happen before justice is seen to be done, does somebody have to die?   They would probably try to cover that up to.

We were numbed to find out about this, and we would have not been any the wiser if it had not been for our source at Shrubhill, thank you for that and keep us posted.

Will he, the victim, ever be able to trust again who knows.  We at Pilton Sucks.com will keep on the case, we hope his colleagues will support him they must do - they could be next.  Nothing would suprise us about the City of Edinburgh Social Work Department.

What of the other victim of the Muirhouse bully, well he is fighting on and pressing for an independent investigation, as we are and continue to do.  We, like the victims, are in this for the long haul.  We know that it will take time to get justice but we have that, the Muirhouse bully might think he has that, and for the time being he probably has, but it is limited.  Soon it will be made public, as will his name, but then again everybody in the social work department we have contacted knows who it is, and is very aware of the plight of the MUIRHOUSE TWO.

This dear friends is indeed a sorry tale, a tale of bully and victim, a tale of  illness and isolation, also one of protection and cover-up of the sinner while the sinned against, suffers.

What kind of society do we live in, were a so called caring profession allows bullys to thrive unpunished, while the victims have to suffer in silence. If we are to believe that justice willout then we have to see it in action.

Institutionalised Bullying

Friends and Readers.We have all read in the press or seen on our televisions reports of institutionalised racism within public bodies, and the constant denials of the various spokes persons who come forward.

We now know that institutionalised bullying is alive and well and thriving in the Social Work Department.We have highlighted the case of the Muirhouse bully and the blatent cover up going on there, that stretches right up the food chain, we have also highlighted the fact that the local elected members , Fitkpatrick, Hinds, and Maginnis have at this present time said nothing on the subject, and by doing this encourage the bullying to continue.

Our source in the Muirhouse Social Work centre told us on Monday 20-3-06 in a lenghty telephone conversation that the full extent of the bullying had still to come out, and that one of the MUIRHOUSE TWO had been subjected to what she called bullying of a violent nature, we asked her tell us exactly what she meant. She went on to tell us that the bullying she had witnessed had become so bad and intense that it was violent in its delivery.

We were also told and this is new information that the Muirhouse bully was assisted by his deputy in the destruction of this individual, our source told us that on a regular basis, almost daily the Muirhouse bully and his sidekick (we have his name) would go out of their way to bully and humiliate their victim and they did not care who knew it such was their arrogance. Our source also told us that she often discussed it with her colleagues, and felt something had to be done to protect this member of staff.

She said “We all knew what was going on the two of them just constantly picked on him and it was an unhappy place to work.” She went on “I discussed it with colleagues at West Pilton Gardens Social Work Centre but some of them already knew and were aware of the growing problem.”

PiltonSucks.com are not suprised that the bullying was known about else where and are indeed not suprised that nothing was done to help this individual who was under a continual barrage of abuse from not one but two spiteful individuals. We are also not suprised to learn that the bully’s assistant has been given another post of a similar nature in Midlothian.  We hope they know what a small minded individual they are getting, and if they want to contact us we will happily furnish them with what we know and can prove.

So now we know bullying carries rewards you might even be promoted, thought more of, be popular amongst your fellow bullies,but wait on this is far from over, we at Pilton Sucks.com will contact individualy the three local councillors concerned Fitzpatrick, Hinds, and Maginnis to inform them of what we know, and will await with interest their views.

But we at PiltonSucks.com will not be bullied by small minded characters such as they have at Muirhouse Social Work Centre, we want these individuals stopped and punished for their vile actions against another human being and we do not forget there is another victim in this travesty.

But we are all victims if we sit back and do nothing, for if nothing is done then bullies will carry on backed by their spineless managers, too gutless to do anything about it.  The community of Greater Pilton were these two gutless wonders practice their trade do not want bullies in their area   We have enough social problems without two outsiders coming in to throw their weight around because they do not have the level of intelligence to know any better.

These are sad individuals who have to bully to show how much authority they have got, in reality they have none and even less respect. So as they go about their daily business just remember your colleagues know what you are, they might not say it but they know, and they know who the MUIRHOUSE TWO are, and we will continue to pursue bullies in our community

If the Social Work Department continues to be silent on this matter and have a do nothing policy, PiltonSucks.com will force the issue.  We want the Muirhouse bully and his so-called assistant punished for there sins against a fellow member of staff in fact both members of staff who they have injured - who knows there might be more-there probably is.

We will continue to hound the Muirhouse Bully- we wonder how he likes it- we have a moral duty to make public, what they would hide from you and tell you does not exist. But all who have experienced it and all who have witnessed it, know bullying is alive and kicking and built with the bricks.

Have Bully, Will Travel

bullying.gifFriends and readers we have received communication from another social work centre namely Captains Road social work centre. They too are aware of the Muirhouse bully and know who he is, and staff from the criminal justice section have told us that he is trying to spread his message there to.  It would seem that he is able to force his will on to his fellow manager at said centre and get him to introduce draconian measures designed it would seem to upset the workers and place them under strain, they to then will receive a little of what the MUIRHOUSE TWO had to put up with.

We would suggest that a grievance be taken out as a way of making their feelings public, do it as a group so you cannot be picked off as individuals as the MUIRHOUSE TWO were.

Once more the bully is trying to make his presence felt there seems to be no stopping him, undoubtably this is due to weak management above him who turn a blind eye so to avoid the truth of what is going on. But the bonus of all this if we can call it that, is more people hopefully should come forward and complain about the way they are being treated, in the main by managers unqualified to be there in the first place, and only there through a flawed system. It would be interesting to know how many of these, we believe they are called community service officers have direct criminal justice qualifications and are not just trades people in a former life.

The Muirhouse bully has been shown to be unable to manage people in a humane way, only able to manage through bullying and threats, not a positive way to get the best out of staff. But as long as he gets away with it the more he will think he is right typical serial bully sindrom.

So the members of staff who got in contact with us have our full support and we will continue to publish the facts on bullying. Unfortunatly you may well be receiving or about to receive treatment similar to the MUIRHOUSE TWO do not let it happen nip it in the bud, contact your union right away, if you have a criminal justice rep speak to them with out delay. Any delay will cost you dear , if you have any doubts about that just look what happened to the MUIRHOUSE TWO.

We at PiltonSucks.com are as you must be angry that bullying is coming your way, although it is through the back door at the moment, it will soon come calling at the front door. Do not let the grim reaper of bullying gain entrance it will only do you harm.  Bullies all through history have been exspansionists and the Muirhouse bully is no different, he will try to bring his damaged mentality to you and if he shoud suceed you will have a problem identical to that which is currently being suffered by the MUIRHOUSE TWO.      

The Sleeper Awakes

Friends and Readers it would seem if the Evening News is to be believed that the counci is waking up to the fact that they have a massive problem with bullying. The rev councillor ewan aitken has spoken and like the sermon on the mount only less eloquent has told us what we have known for some time that bullying exists.

We know that what are you going to do about it.We at Pilton Sucks.com have highlighted the problem of the MUIRHOUSE TWO and the bullying they suffered, if the councillor is serious then why is the Muirhouse bully still in post when the evidence against him is substancial and the practice at Muirhouse social Work centre warrents an outside investigation not an internal assessment, he shoud be concerned about the cover up that is going on, to deflect away any blame on the bully, why when so many people know who he is that the council do nothing, he is well known for his behaviour outside in the community treating people as though it was something he stepped in

We at Pilton Sucks.com will happily let the councillor have the evidence, we also have access to taped evidence where the bully is clearly heard verbally abusing a member of staff on more than one occassion. So there is nothing to stop you asking for a full outside investigation into the dreadful events at Muirhouse which have left two members of staff out in the cold and being made to feel they are guilty not the Muirhouse bully.

So far we have had nothing from the social work department about the MUIRHOUSE TWO or anybody else who has suffered bullying in the workplace, but we would like to remind the muirhouse bully -WE KNOW WHO YOU ARE and so do many others,you will not get away for ever no matter how much your managers cover up for you, you may have pulled the wool over their eyes but you will not fool us, you will be punished for your dreadful behaviour and rightly so.

You might be confident in your web of lies but you will trip up after all you are a serial bully and you cannot stop it is not in your nature, if you cannot bully your own staff because you are being watched you will try and bully elsewhere, but we are watching you and you will be found out others will come to realise the truth and support the MUIRHOUSE TWO they had the courage to come forward and it may well we hope open the floodgates for other victims to come forward.

Pilton Sucks.com is asking if there is anybody else out there and we know for sure there is who has had a run in with the muirhouse bully to come forward and tell your story, do not be afraid the MUIRHOUSE TWO lead the way they have brought what has been known for a long time out into the open they cannot be deserted, they have to be supported, we as a society cannot and must not tolerate workplace bullying we have to out these bullys and remove them so they can never again harm anybody.

We detest bullying as most people do we want the bullys shown the error of their ways and made at the very least to compensate their victims in some way. We hope the muirhouse bullys days are numbered, the pressure will mount for a full investigation into the events surrounding the MUIRHOUSE TWO the bully must be brought to account for his actions. REMEMBER WE ARE WATCHING.  

How Do Bullies Work? - The Muirhouse Experience

bully.jpgBullying is all about power. Bullies want control of their victim and the environment.  Their main instrument of control is criticism. A colleague may focus on alleged underperformance. A manager may criticise everything from professional conduct to personal appearance. To correct the alleged failing, the victim jumps through more and more hoops, but the harder victims work, and the more they achieve, the greater the bully’s insecurity.

This damaging cycle often ends in the victim facing disciplinary procedures or stress, breakdown, or both. The bully then selects someone else to pick on and starts all over again.

Isolating victims from their friends and colleagues is key to a bullys tactics and the effects of this should not be underestimated.  It can be emotionally and psychologically damaging.  In a bullying workplace such as Muirhouse Social Work Department, colleagues are often afraid to stand up for the victim in case they become targets themselves. Those who speak out for friends being bullied or who blow the whistle on a bullying environment [THE MUIRHOUSE TWO] have shown to have been bullied.

As serial bullies try to move up the professional ladder, they become more and more able to abuse their power using all the tricks available to the serial bully. What angers the bully is the inability to move up the greasy pole because he or she believes they are some how superior to others. 

Who Are The Bullies?

Pilton Sucks.com is campaiging to end bullying in the workplace and to that end we have posted a series of articles outlining this huge problem - especially as practiced in Muirhouse Social Work Department.

Conforming to one victim’s description of a convincing and practised liar with a Jekyll and Hyde personality,the adult bully is often charming. He or she is usually verbally confident and can be adept at using language to make his or her actions seem plausible. But there are several indicators that under the sweet talk all may not be well.

bully.jpgThese include random and impulsive decision-making, an obsession with conformity and procedures an inability to distinguish the important from the trivial, an officious man and petty-mindedness.  Many bullies are emotionally or professionally insecure, but this will rarely show. What will come across is arrogance an constant denial of any wrong-doing

More than 90 per cent of reported cases are caused by a serial bully. Bullying is not just a matter of taking a dislike to someone, it is a more deep-rooted psychological problem that means the bully moves easily from victim to victim. 

Bullying - a breakthrough

bully.jpgReaders and friends, at last it would seem that the courts have seen sense and awarded a victim of bullying 20,000 pounds. Gwent county Council made the award out of court to avoid liability and costs.

So over to you Edinburgh what are you going to do about your bullying problem. PiltonSucks.com has already highlighted the torment of the MUIRHOUSE TWO and as we have already stated the social work dept. both in Muirhouse and at Shrubhill are covering up what is going on.

But beware, the law is catching up with you so it would be in your own interests to deal with this bullying problem. As we have already said, a former employee of Muirhouse social work dept has come forward to speak to PiltonSucks.com to tell us of the terrible way he was treated by the Muirhouse bully, how long do the social work dept think they can get away with covering up the truth about the extent of the bullying problem.

With bullying now being openly accepted as a crime by the courts we at PiltonSucks.com are convinced that Muirhouse social work department are guilty by cover up and mis-information. Bullying is a disease in our society which has to be removed, the courts now agree so there may just be light at the end of the tunnel.

The hidden horror of bullying

It has come to the attention of PiltonSucks.com that bullying is alive and unfortunatly thriving in North Edinburgh.

We have been told through informed sources that at least two cases of bulling at the Muirhouse Social Work Centre are currently or should be under investigation. Our reliable informant tells us that the bully has been practicing this behaviour for some time and has been getting away with it.

PiltonSucks.com deplores this kind of disgusting behaviour and we hope the social work department are taking these allegations seriously. However,iIt would seem that this is not the case and the people making these allegations have been suspended yet the alledged bully has not and continues to work at the Muirhouse social work centre. Our source tells us that a cover up is the order of the day, suprise - suprise, and that the alledged bully has had no action taken against him. It would also seem our reliable source tells us that this person is well known through out criminal justice in Edinburgh and in particularly community service where he is employed as a community service manager. We are told his correct title is Community Service Officer. If this is true and we have no reason to believe otherwise then this is completely unacceptable.

If senior managers are aware of this characters behaviour and are hiding behind the rulebook to protect him then they to are guilty of condoning this disgusting behaviour. If there is a full and frank INVESTIGATION from an outside authority and the evidence which PiltonSucks.com has seen comes out as it should we will be more than happy to name and shame this horrible individual.

So come on Muirhouse lets have an open investigation get this individual out of his position where he can no longer inflict such pain and suffering that is obviously going unchecked.

Muirhouse six - a circle of deceit

It has come to the attention of pilton sucks that a problem has arisen with the muirhouse six circle project a project that was set up to work with vuneralble members of the community a problem which also involves city of edinburgh social work department.

It would seem that financial irregularities have surfaced within the project and have hastily been swept under the table to avoid embaressment.  Don Millar senior manager at the social work department sat on thier management committee and did not know of this problem. It now seems he is only to keen to offload the project and merge it with the pilton elderly project strange bedfellows this leaves the pilton partnership to pay the liabilities of 14,000 pounds and any additional costs of merger.

The questions to be asked what happened to the social work grant of approx 60,000 pounds where are the assets who has them were the police informed if they were aware of what happened and also where does the pilton eldely project fit into the scheme of things.

Is there a tie up or is this a quick fix to avoid this all being publisied. It would seem according to sources close to the project that this is partly empire building on peps behalf. Strange that a senior labour councillor manages the pilton elderly project which has funding from the pilton partnership. Surely if there is nothing to hide this information should  be made public. the time has come to ask serious questions regarding the muirhouse six circle project. The manager would be the obvious port of call but it would seem he is on long term sick how unfortunate.

This project also took community service placements when these problems were ongoing why was that allowed to take place putting vunerable people into that position with local social work managements consent.               Â
